Love the course. Would play there again FREQUENTLY.

Played as a twosome on a weekday. Round took slightly more than 5 hours. We never saw a marshal. Group in front had open space in front of them..

Course conditions were good, except the traps hadn’t been raked in days. Two workers were out raking traps as we played through (by hand).

I like this course, but I don’t believe they care about the golfer’s enjoyment. No clubhouse, no cart person. It is unfortunate, because it is a well designed course with so much potential.

Too bad a decent course is run by horrible people.

Dark horse is sub par from where it once was and you better make sure you have your whole day free because you’ll spend a minimum of 5.5 hours out here in a cart. No Marshall, no Starter (no announcing tee times either, complete guessing game out there), they can’t even figure out how to put an igloo cooler full of ice/water on the course. Water sits out in your standard office cooler in direct sunlight all day and during the summer it is borderline undrinkable as it’s almost boiling hot. Been out there several times since new ownership and owners son irunning the “clubhouse” (little shack that was the bathroom before). Probably an experiment to get him some “hard working experience” after his daddy had to shell out almost 2 million dollars for the violent case below !!

Love the course and very well maintained. Pace of play was good when I played but was told that it will slow down on weekends.

Greens are in excellent condition, good test . ( hot dog stand at the turn , solid !

1. Golf cart restrictions are ridiculous.

2. Sand traps are packed mud on the bottom.

3. Sand traps are a mess even at the start of play in the morning.

4. Practice facilities are closed in the morning for maintenance and ball pickup. This is when players want to warm up before a round.

I’ve been playing golf for 60 years and have never seen a course run so poorly. Rated 16th best public course in California by.Golf Digest. Seriously?

Many issues. 1: tried calling 1.5 hrs week before for tee time, no answer. Charged $4+fee to do online. 2. Called twice day before tee time and put on hold twice 5 minutes 3: When I arrived the guy said Hi and I responded saying my tee time, Guy said Hi, I'm ////.

I replied again with my tee time In case he didn't understand. THE DUDE THEN STARTED SCOLDING ME FOR NOT REPLING "hi" BACK! Then wanted to charge me $15 each for playing before noon on their special. That's why I tried calling the week before to find out the details of the coupon. It was waved. I really would have been POed to pay the $15 because they were 20 behind the start time. Putting me at noon anyway. And it was cartpath only with no water on fairway.
