Turkey Creek Golf Club

Website warned that greens had been 'aerated' and the pro shop reminded us at check-in... In reality, we didn't experience normal aeration issues (plugs, etc.), but rather many greens were very dried out with dead spots and patches with what seemed like a different grass than the rest of the green. This created not just difficult playing conditions, but was visually somewhat shocking, as I had always felt like course maintenance had been top-drawer in previous visits to Turtle Creek.

Conditions were unacceptable. There was no water on the course (bathroom, and restaurant). Greens were under repair. My understanding is they are going through grounds superintendent issues. My suggestion is to have a disclosure before anyone else decides to waste their money.

Unbelievable slow! No Marshall to be found, ,gopher holes on greens, standing water on the 14th hole ( how is that possible?). Very bad sections on some greens, however fairways weren’t bad. This course is usually in better shape. I’ll probably play here again, but no time soon.

Course was in good condition. Pace of play was slow but tolerable.

Course was beautiful. Wife and I are from Redding and never played the course. We were paired with 2 locals who helped us around the course telling us where to hit at good spots to put ourselves in good position. Trees are everywhere and quite a few blind tee shots and blind approach shots and you definitely have to choose where you hit it wisely because there were spots on the course that were very punishing even if you’re in the fairway. Greens were great. Green undulation was challenging. Definitely worth the money. Had a great pastrami sandwich at the grill and a transfusion and water hazard for alcoholic beverages and were very tasty. Would recommend our experience to anybody. Pace of play was slower at the end but I think that’s because it’s 4th of July weekend and everyone was out golfing having a great time so I’m not going to blame the course. Hole 10 and 18 were great picture spots! Staff was friendly and Marshells were there when we needed sand. We will definitely be back.

Turkey Creek is one of my favorite courses in the Sacramento area. People are friendly. The driving range is wide and never too crowded. The greens and fairways were all in great shape. The bunkers could use a little bit more attention, but that's OK for me.

Tough course. Would have been nice if they would have had water on the course though. It was hot.

Tee’d off at 2:15 pm. Got to the truck at 7:30. 5:15 hour rounds are why the game needs to be shrunk. Watching the 4 some in front of us play blue tees and struggling to get ball advanced 100 yards in under 3 shots was agonizing. Will not be returning back anytime soon. From the reviews on Google, it seems this is a common here…

From start to finish was a great day. Tee off was at 10:20am pace of play was smooth no hurry no wait. Greens nice and challenging. Staff was 5 star! Keep up the awesomeness!

Its a challenging course , no doubt. Pace of play was not up to par due to the weekend players un aware of pace of play courtesys. Any day of golf beats a bad time

Nice course. Forgiving but with some challenging area.
