Indian Wells Golf Resort - Players Course

Great course, the best greens that I played the whole week while I was there, very nice course.

I haven't played this course in over ten years, since the major remodel. The course has gorgeous mountain views. It was in immaculate condition, with sleek fairways and smooth, dependable, moderately fast greens. The driving range points east, which makes it almost impossible to watch the flight of your ball in the morning.
My primary beef here was pace of play. We teed off at 7:50 AM and were promised a fast round, with light play. It ended up taking 4.5 hours, and it was really hot (over 100 degrees) when we got off the course. The marshals appeared ineffectual in improving the pace of play. This might be acceptable pace of play during the season, but during the hot weather it is torture.

One of the best kept golf courses I have ever played. Great fairways , greens, traps, and tees. I absolutely love the golf course and the condition it is in. It was 104 degrees and the on course staff were very cordial and friendly.

A brilliant course in every respect. The lushness of the course was impressive, with large trees and heavy shrubbery everywhere. The fairways are generous and in perfect condition. The greens need a little work and seem to have some invasive grasses, but are true and in good condition...nine points out of ten.
Excellent practice facilities and a fun series of practice greens. Great practice chipping area.

Played both the Celebrity and Players Course on vacation with another couple for a month-Played 15 times and played here three times-Twice on Celebrity-Celebrity is the most beautiful and more playable in mixed foursomes-Played here also in 2015 and enjoyed both courses so we put them on the list this year.

Pace of play was great and monitored so you can complete your round in time to get a dicount on your first drink at the 19th hole

Players course more of a challenge with a lot of character and various holes requiring targeting off the tee-you will be challenged
great condition-good range-proshop expensive but lots of designer duds-good staff

Without question, the Troon group has made this course and the clubhouse/golf features the best in So. California. I have played golf in 45 countries and I have not seen its equal. Now that is quite a compliment.

Impeccable conditions, attentive service, $30 green fee from GolfNow. That is the makings of a perfect day.

Oh, did I mention the mango-scented frozen face towels hand delivered by the marshall?

First hole sets the tone, par 5 narrow fairway mostly sloped down from left to right. It gets easier after that. Good variety of challenges. The greens were fast and there were some surprising breaks (at least I didn't see them in advance).
Water and ice available every 3 holes.
No distance markings on the course, use the GPS system on the cart.

Indian wells is an amazing place to golf. The restaurant and staff were excellent as well. There were ground under repair, but this is considered there off season. Despite being their off season the course is still in great shape.

Course was in great condition despite fact that it was August. Greens were true and quick and fairways were excellent with no burn marks. I played TPC Stadium the day before and their greens were slow. Condition of Players course (tee and green) was a much higher level than the Stadium course. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Strongly recommend for a top-notch experience. Single digit handicap who played blue tees.

Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Summer brings the heat in the desert (109 degrees) so stay hydrated.

Great course, great staff. The course was in great shape for the August month in Palm Springs! The staff was more than helpful we had a bev cart every third or fourth hole filling our ice cups. Making sure we in our foursome were hydrated and having a good round. Thanks again to the Indian Wells staff and looking forward to the next time I play there,

I love to play this golf course they have two 18 holes courses and bout are very nice,

Staff is very friendly I think this facilities is one of the best one in area.

I was celebrating my 31 wedding anniversary, my wife surprised me with a t time to this golf course I was static ! I know I have an exellente beautiful wife !! But back to the course, amazing course I'm a bogie golfer and it was very challenging for me but I was there for the experience , the staff it's one of the most friendly people I have encounter, I left my 6 iron behind and I didn't realize It was missing until the 3rd hole when I had to use it again, my co rider send a msg on the gps to the club house two different people came to see what happened , I thought for sure was gone , I use a vrs forged nike clubs and they 125 ea separately plus the fact that you need all your clubs in this course , than two holes later the Marshall came were we were waving my club in his hand my heart did a little jolt of happiness exellente staff thank you again!! This is must course to play everything it's pristine .

Course was great, challenging but fair. Staff is awesome.

A must play, you should put it on your bucket list.

The only complaint I had was the maintenance people were everywhere, waited more for them than other golfers and still finished under 4 hours. But I guess that is how they have the course in such good condition. Played in low season so rates were reasonable.

I played the Player Course on a very crowded day. Although the club seems to genuinely concern about the pace of play, it can only do so much as a resort. That aside, the club is situated in a beautiful environment. The housing is surprisingly not intrusive. As to the conditions of the course, I found that greens were true and fast and that fairways were excellent. My only complaint, for the price the club normally charges, was the sand coverage of bunkers, which are many, was usually thin. Although I did not score particularly well as a first time player that day, I will be back the next time I find a good deal again on Golfnow.
