The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Resort gives you a taste of Scotland and a splash of jungle, all wrapped in a beautiful Hawaiian beach-front package.

With five miles of beaches, Turtle Bay Resort is the perfect place to gaze at Kawela Bay, Bay View Beach Lawn and Turtle Bay, itself. Only 45 minutes from Honolulu, the resort immerses guests in the natural beauty of Oahu. In fact, ocean views are the norm in every one of the resort's 443 rooms.

The Palmer Course was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and is the home to an annual event on the LPGA Tour. The golf course surrounds a wetland preserve known as the Punaho'olapa Marsh, which is home to many endangered Hawaiian birds.

The distinctive 18-hole championship course features a front nine that plays like Scottish Links with sand, water and rolling terrain and a back nine that rolls through a jungle forest of pine. The 17th hole, its signature, has nine bunkers leading up to a green that sits on a plateau 100 feet from the ocean.

Great Resort Course!

Great course and staff! They were very accommodating and professional.

We were concerned about the torrential downpour in the middle of the island affecting this, but it ended up being a non-issue! Very relaxing golf outfit and one of the staff even managed to get us out earlier!

exceptional experience and an exceptional facility—even under construction

great course, undergoing some renovations, greens recently punched and we were the first group out some greens were a little shaggy. otherwise would be five-stars all around. can’t wait to return.

Love this course

2 time I have played this course. Fairways and greens are challenging but fair. Some of bunkers need more sand but overall the bunkers were in better condition than the other courses I played on Oahu. Overall, it is a great course and I would play again.

Wonderful experience

Had a great time on the course. Wide open tee times helped out for sure. The course was in great shape as expected and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Great Location, Mediocre Course Management

The Palmer Course is always a beautiful experience in a world class location. There is a reason the LPGA played here for years. However, why do you think the LPGA left in favor of another Oahu venue? Because the management of the place is a little bush league out in the Hawaiian bush… Examples: 1) none of the GPS pin locations were accurate and it was almost like the greenskeeper forgot to tell the golf shop that they had moved the pins…2) for several years the place has been under construction and you have to drive about 10 in the cart to get to the first tee through a closed Fazio course and a construction zone, and 3) for $250 a round you would think the practice facilities would be better maintained-they were shabby at best. On the plus side the staff were very nice and the rental clubs my playing partner was using were too of the line, and they had Spam Musabi for this local boy on the lunch cart-yum!

Don’t believe the hype!

Great design, awesome staff. However, the price couple with the over selling of ocean views that didn’t materialize made it a poor experience for my son-in-law and I.

Excellent course, staff was meh

I was staying at the resort with my family and snuck out for a 7 a.m. round. I was the second tee time of the day and they sent me out solo. Played in 2 1/2 hours and the course was in excellent condition. Fun layout with water all around but not a constant threat. Really, really enjoyed the course and the round. Greens were in pretty good shape, and the fairways were immaculate.

I've played a ton of golf all over, and I was surprised by the staff. From checking in to getting my cart to the surly starter, everyone seemed kind of put-off to be there. I came and went and barely anyone said hi or seemed to care I was there spending $300+ with golf and clubs.

I'm a righty who putts lefty. Rare but hardly that unique. Rented clubs but they refused to "break up a set" to give me a lefty putter. I don't putt righty for a reason. At a luxury course, it shouldn't be the end of the world to satisfy a minor request like that. But again, the staff didn't seem to care at all.

I parked my cart at the end of the round, barely got a nod from anyone, went through the pro shop and left without anyone so much as asking how my round went. I don't expect much, but virtually no interaction was kinda odd. The best interaction I had was with the grounds crew working the course as daylight broke.

Excellent course.

Course was in excellent condition. Fairways were perfectly manicured. Greens rolled true and were not full of pitch marks. GPS carts. And beautiful scenery. Played the twilight after 12 pm. Got my round done in 3.5 hrs.

Great course for how expensive

It had been raining for the two hours before and broke right as we got to the first tee. For it being wet, it was in really good shape. The course layout was fun and it was also really open. Solid resort course overall.

Too expensive

Would be a good course if they did not gouge visitors. I understand the need for local discounts but the markup for visitors is too excessive at this and most island courses. Discourages return visits.
