McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

Good time
I like this course, the conditions and staff were outstanding.
I could...
...play this course every day. Just a lot of fun with where to hit your tee shots and the best way to approach the green complexes. No issues with slow play. The course played long because of rain.
Horrible
Outing going on, almost 6 hours round on a less than 6k yard layout...unacceptable!!!! And several blind shots, got hit in the head on 4th hole by the group behind!!! Greens in bad shape as well. Overall, the worst experience in a golf course in 25 years...
Randy the Ranger
The course was great. Very enjoyable, pace of play was average. The only problem I would say that I had was Randy the ranger, as someone who plays often I've come across a lot of rangers and I've never had problems but when a paying customer ask prior to playing that I would like to play with only the individuals I came with don't try and force someone on me and tell me I'm wrong and that they're going to do it anyways. I shouldn't feel disrespected when I'm paying to play and randy did this, after I told him the individual I spoke with the day prior said that we could play as a twosome he made a snide comment and drove off before I could say something to him. Like I said the course was great but I will not be back because of Randy the Ranger.
Challenging Course - grumpy staff
First off let me start out by saying - for the first 9 holes this course was great. We were moving at a good pace. You absolutely need to be in the fairway or good luck finding your ball. There are also a lot of blind shots. Fairways and greens were a little spotty but they it was ok.
They were running a promotion on the 9th hole - $10 if you are within a certain distance to the pin then you get a prize. With that came a buy one get one free promotion for beer at the bar. My group stopped to have a beer and dog at the turn as there was a hole open behind us and no one in front of us. The service was slow so we were stopped for about 20-25 minutes. That put us at about 2h 20min for 9 holes. The first ranger asked us to pick the pace at the 10th tee and we hurried along. After our tee shots, less than 5 minutes later another ranger comes speeding down the fairway screaming about our pace of play and threatening to force us to skip a hole. As if the first warning wasn't enough. Not to mention, it was mid back swing of one of the players. We finished our round in under 4 hours and 30 minutes, even with the 25 minute stop. T
Note to Mcculloghs, if you put a promotion on the 9th hole for a buy one, get one beer expect the groups to stop at the clubhouse at the turn.
This course is a true test of links golf
This course is a true test of links golf to score well here you must keep your ball in the fairways or don't bother playing here!
Too slow, too expensive
We didn't tee off until about 20 minutes after our tee time. Then, once we did tee off, we had to wait several minutes at each tee because he pace of play was so slow. We ended up quitting after 9, because it just wasn't enjoyable. The course is fair, though for the prices they charge it should be in much better condition. I'd like to play again, as the layout is unique and can be challenging, but I don't think I'll be back.
Course was in such bad shape
First off let me say that this is a really cool course. It has a great layout, really nice holes, and could easily be a 5 star $100 a round course. However it was in such bad shape that I would not pay more than $35 for this course. I am glad that I found a hot deal on golf now, because I would never pay full price ($80) for this course. The greens were super bumpy and did not roll true, many of the fairways were torn up and had dead spots all over, and the tee boxes are torn to shreds. Not to mention there was damage around the edges of many of the cups. I will give this course another try next year in the hopes that they get it into really good shape. I do not recommend playing it for the remainder of this year unless you get an amazing deal.
Emerald Links - always enjoyable Round.
The Emerald Links is a fun course to play. Great layout and cool elevation changes that are unique to the area. Always enjoy the round here. Great value and great experience. Thanks.
Not again
Pace of play was terrible and the rangers did nothing. Didn't even finish the round. Just gave up.
Play was sooooo slow all day long .
The course is a unique layout but if you want to play a round in less than 6 hours stay away.
Great Experience
The course had an amazing view and the food and the mood of the club house was great.
Windy
True links conditions. Good wind out of east. A lot of fun. Joe, a starter, was very helpful with tips and a course layout book for first timers. Some grooming and rebuilding could be done to bunkers. In their defense, it's been a wet spring. I will go back.
