McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

awesome surprise
not that I heard anything bad about McCullough but didn't think the nj flat lands could possibly have an Irish/Scottish feel but it did. I have played 4 courses in Ireland including Lahinch which I felt the most similarity. Some blind shots but plenty of room to hit it off the tee.. Greens were incredible along with tees and fairways. I want to play again now that I know the course.
Great fun!
This course is probably the most fun I've played. Every hole is unique and challenging. The elevation changes and general layout will keep your attention and make you play shots. The course is not long but don't be fooled, that wind is blowing all day every day and it will make a hole play much longer when you have to club up. This is a must play course!
Great track.
Enjoyed my outing at McCullough's. Great use of terrain. Course was is good early season shape. Each hole is different and challenging.
Great track
Risk/reward holes, blind shots and water holes gives you an golf experience straight out of Ireland. Only downside was it being cart path only for that day.
Love the layout of the course
Very nice day.... very windy made it difficult but enjoyable
Scotland at jersey shore
Some nice holes ,but a few blind shots. waited quite some time for December golf must be a nightmare in summer.
Links Style favorite
Except for the high price tag, I recommend this links style course.
No leaves except for two holes. Nice this time of year.
Nice course for the money. The course is in great shape from t to green.
Gets better every year
Found this course a few years ago. It keeps getting better every year. Greens have always been excellent. Tee Boxes this year were in Great Shape! The two holes across the road still not my favorites but was nice to see the cart path going down to the green.
Nice course
Was a nice course but because of the rain they had the day before, it was very wet with lots of standing water. Nothing you can do about Mother Nature though.
A really fun golfing experience
The course is beautiful. Wide open on the front nine and then into the trees for part of the back nine. Several elevated tees and a couple of blind shots. The green were relatively small and fast with lots of contours. It's the kind of course you could play a lot and never get tired of.
For our round the weather was perfect and very little wind. If you had a lot of wind, it could be really challenging.
Not so hidden Gem
Super greens!! It rained at least an inch the night before and the greens were still fast and beautiful...I would almost say perfect. I played all the other courses in the immediate area but never got around to this one for one reason or another..It is now my favorite course in that area ( don't really want to mention the others courses). I highly recommend this course
Rainy round of golf
Light drizzle off and on again. Greens were fast and difficult. A fun course to play with many unusual features. Several blind shots (trust your senses), options on holes if you want take a chance. Good food and service at the 19th.
A great time
I had a great experience at McCullogh's. Friendly, helpful staff. Course was in great condition, especially considering a huge storm the night before. Still allowed the carts in the fairways. The greens were very puttable. A handful of challenging blind tee shots did lead to some unexpected lost balls, but since I plan to return I will be prepared next time.
To give a bit of perspective on this experience, I did get a good deal on Golf Now.com (value), the wind was down to a breeze (difficulty), the weather was a beautiful 70 and sunny, it was an early afternoon weekday (pace of play), and we didn't utilize the restaurant. But we were still very impressed with their operation and will be back.
Nice Round
Course was in nice shape even though it had just rained. The starter wasn't the most friendly guy in the world though. Overall a really good day.
Great Experience
My wife and I entertained friends from Michigan. I was concerned that the course would be to difficult for the woman who is a novice. The quality of the course and the value, thru Golfnow, made it a grate discussion to play here.
Beautiful Greens , nice shape
Very windy course . Staff was very nice . Course was in fantastic shape . Booked on Golfnow , if booked otherwise your going to pay alot ! Greens were fast & well manicured .
Great round
The course was in great conduction. That day was fantastic weather. The only thing was that the cart girl by-passed you three time on only stop when we reach the 9 and 17th hole. Who need her then?
Decent Round for a Decent Day
Played for my annual birthday golf round, and though the course and conditions were, good my play could have been better. Fairways were beautiful, but some greens were spotty - too bad I couldn't have hit more. Decent challenge and pace of play was great.
