McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

Three singles
Caught a great deal on GolfNow, they were able to group three single , good guys, great weather, really good course, wish I had played better.
wide open on most holes
played as a twosome in under three hours. Course is wide open, but need to keep ball in fairways. A few blind shots. In Good condition. Will play it again.
A far drive.... well worth the trip
ok first my "cons"
1. No driving range... easy fix twisted dunes a mile away
2. Starter was a little frazzled he was upset I was a prepaid single.... paired up with two locals and played back 9 first, pro.. had a great time with them.
Now my "pros"
SIMPLY AMAZING COURSE!!!
Course was in excellent shape, fairways perfect, greens perfect. Some blind shots, but the course made you think. I normally play Mercer Oaks East, Makefield Highlands and Twisted, I would take McCullough's any day. The 18th hole par 4 down hill and sometimes down wind... Great hole to finish on. There are not many courses that want me to do a replay the same day, but McCullough's is certainly one of them. I cannot say anything bad about my experience, plus you can see Atlantic City on the elevated areas. The bar was nice, but pricy drink specials ok for happy hour, no food specials. You would never know the course we built on a landfill, but please give McCullough's a try. One more thing, GPS on carts... really helped.
Nice course, interesting layout
Don't play links courses very often and glad we played this one. Tees, fairways, bunkers and greens all in excellent condition. A lot of blind shots using aiming stakes. Some fairly narrow landing areas at the 225 to 250 distance from whites requiring good shot making. Must be in the fairway at this course. Large greens, some hard and difficult to hold, some very unusual unlike any I've seen. Paired up with local who knew course a big plus. A couple holes were difficult to figure out landing areas. Greens mostly fast in open areas, slow across the street in closed areas. Some really nice elevation changes for a links course. Overall scored well, nice pace of play and very happy we played this course.
Tell the customer greens have been "treated"
They have treated the greens (not full aeration) but they are bumpy and slower than normal here. I love the design and the way they run the facility, but you should let people know before they play.
Wonderful day
My husband and I played this course for the first time. We really enjoyed it and had a fabulous dy of golf. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We would definately play here again. Plus, the food at the Library is very good.
Good day of golf
Course staff and conditions are always up to par. Check it out!
Great Course , Not very welcoming staff
Great Course Layout and Club House Staff was very cordial.
Cart Team was very difficult, felt we damaged cart and made us stay on site while they inspected cart while driving to parking lot.
I would not expect that service at a top rated and premium priced couse.
Fun round of golfing
Surprised by course conditions. Nice place to play. Enjoyable round of golf. Easy to score on. Shot a 79 and could have done a little better
The golf course was a challenge if you were not in the the fairway
As long as you kept the ball in play you can score well.
This course has too many blind shots
Tee boxes were being aerated. Operator would not shut down machine while we were teeing off. Too many blind shots. Rough too high. You can lose balls only being one foot off of the fairway. Greens were very fast. You needed to land approach shot short of green in order to be on the green. Even gap or sand wedge approach wouldn't stop. They would run to back of green but usually off the back of the green.
Grounds crew has no decency.
The course was in fine condition but the grounds crew followed us the entire back 9 which meant every single tee shot began and ended with loud blowers. The same groundsman kept following us to the point that he was trying to give us playing tips. On the 18th hole we had to wait 10-15 minutes for them to blow off the entire tee before we could use it and even while we were hitting the one guy left his engine running so it was still not very quiet. They were unhelpful and extremely rude and when we went inside to mention it. We were told that we should have called the club house while playing or found a someone out there even though no one was around us to be found on the back 9 and we also didn't realize they were going to continue to follow us. Shouldn't they have been going backwards through the holes so that they wouldn't have continually bothered any one group? Extremely dissatisfied for how much we payed to play.
Unique course with some different challenges from most courses
Played in a foursome with three less inexperienced golfers. We were allowed to play at our pace without interfering with any other players. A very unusual layout if you are not used to links type courses Several blind shots but had forgiving fairways which allowed still have fun. Definitely recommended for all levels of golfers. Cart GPS was very helpful.
Different and challenging
Novice golfer with a terrible handicap. From out of town so I rented clubs (Pings). The lay of the land makes for uncertain landing area in most cases. Lots of roll and greens are killer fast. But much different than traditional courses and makes you think about your shots. A fun afternoon.
Great Links Course
This links course was fairly challenging, however the fairways were large, and they usually gave you different options. Also liked the fact that each hole was a replica of a British Isles course.
a return trip is in our future!
I have played this course before, but it was burned out and not well maintained. I was pleasantly pleased with the condition of the course, especially the greens. The course was for the most part dry, even though we had rain the night before. Pace of play could have been better, but marshal was doing his best! I will return again to play this course.
Great vistas and interesting holes
Course in great condition. Excellent test of golf. Used every club.
Great choice
Played here in the past and liked it then and it's even better now. After a bad rain storm this course drained very well. Very well taken care of for being late in the summer.
