McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

Diverse selection of holes.
I like this course more each time I play it. The holes are modeled after great holes in Europe, which means they are all very different. The course is challenging without being overwelming. The course was in very good condition, and the greens were running true, but not particularly fast.
Found course to have interesting lay out.
Found pin placements to be unfair at times.Too many pins on sides on mounds.Made putting feel like minature golf. Could be I just don't putt well. I enjoyed the course.Missed not seeing Gloria behind the counter. I guess I'll have to get an earlier tee time.
Very enjoyable course on many levels.
This is a very fun course that requires many different shots. It really tests your accuracy and short game ability. Greens are very fair but many with interesting slopes and are quite large. Don't get fooled by it's open feel, there is trouble to be found with the wayward tee shots. You can score well if you play smart and place your shots without worring so much about your distance, especially on the par 5's. All of which can be reached but you may want to play smart and position yourself and play a smart short game. Have fun with this course and stop into the bar/restaurant it is a very relaxing end of the round atmosphere and you can watch the players finish on 18 from your table.
Very Picturesque Layout of Holes
Course is in excellent condition.
Each hole replicates a hole from famous Scotland links style courses. One is nicer to look at and play than the next.
Highly recommend playing this course.
Excellent
Played oct 17, 2012. Conditions were great! Nice change of scenery for the shore. True to traditonal links style. Very challenging but fair. You must carefully place your shots. Alot of blind tee shots and approaches. Would have given it 5 stars but there is one par 5 where the fairways runs out at a hazard forcing you to lay back if your a long hitter (i reached it from the back tees.) Overall and excellent course Highly recommended!
Good Value, But Don't Expect Augusta National
This course has an OK layout and is moderately easy to average in difficulty. However course conditions are only fair. Greens are just ok, are on the slow side and are a bit bumpy. Tee boxes need lots of work. And you better work on playing off of hard pan because there's lots of it.
White Oaks runs lots of specials that make it a good value. The staff are courteous and friendly.
Good for shore visitors with limited opportunities to play.
Haven't played this course in 8 or 9 years when it was fairly new. Course is in much better condition and the high grass is maintained at a much more realistic length than during my previous experience. Good course for visitors to the shore who only get to play a few times per season. May be too easy for someone with a handicap below 10. Starter (Pete?) was very personable and informative. Didn't like that our group was solicited for a charity on a par 3.
links course is challenging also fun to play!!
This is a true links course and there are several holes that have blind shots and a hole that you tee off over a huge sand trap. also the eighth and the eighteenth tees are both elevated and are awesome golf holes!! This is a must play Best kept secret in Atlantic county !! :-)
good links style course
Course was well maintained and had some interesting holes.
Pace was slow at times with some blind shots
