About
The Highlands Course is probably the more stimulating of the two tracks at Wildcat GC, offering better views of the city, natural wetlands and grasses, and some intriguing flat sand bunkers. Case must have an affinity for the No. 7, because like the Lakes track, the 421-yard, par 4 hole 7 is the most difficult rated hole. Watch out for the par 5s on this one, three of which play at or above 570 yards from the tips.
Getting there : From downtown take Hwy. 288 south for 5 miles to Loop 610. Head west and find the Fannin exit, where you'll U-turn under 610 and drive east on the access road to Almeda Rd. Turn right on Almeda and the course is 3 miles further.

Great way to kill my Thursday
I go course hopping for weekends off work and was lucky enough to have an early start to this weekend and play this course.
Pointers before you go out. The par 5s are pretty brutal on the front. As a whole this course is tough off the tee(I play the men's gold tees because I'm a big hitter), but an errant tee shot usually ensures a bogey or worse on this course.
The greens aren't miserable to work around, I play a mediocre short game but made a personal best 6 scrambles for par.
Be warmed up before you play. It's tough to try and get loose on the course, but the front 9 is so rough that my best ever 9 hole score on the back isn't as good when paired to the mediocre 9 I had on the front for not warning up.
Other than that I highly recommend playing here, although if you are a single, be sure to ask 5somes to play ahead, as I spent the last chunk of my round playing behind a very slow 5some.
Horrible Staff
Booked through this site paid at golf course 189.00 for 3. It rained after 9 and trying to get my money or rain check proved impossible. I was Not the only person angry over this. Have me a phone number to call, I said they didn't take my money You did. They said sorry nothing we can do.. Really? Interesting that after I went off you suddenly issues a credit.
Why did. I have to go through that? Why did you make me and others go through all of that when you should have Man-ed up and given us out refund.
You wonder why I got angry?? Really?
Wildcat Highlands course
Course conditions are much better than all the public courses in the area. The layout is not my favorite because a lot of the holes are similar. Also #7 is the one of the most ridiculous holes I have ever played. The greens are great, smooth and fast.
Great condition/layout
Highlands is in very good shape right now. Greens roll very true and decently fast. Fairways are great, layout is tough. Lakes course is also in good shape. Definitely worth a visit

Beautiful course
Our group of 8 golfers from Minnesota played here two years in a row in February. Course condition is great, the view is excellent and the staff is wonderful. We love to play Wildcat when visit Houston.
