About
Architect Roy Case created both courses on this new 36-hole, daily-fee facility that is located only 10 minutes from downtown Houston. In addition to the views of the skyline, Case had at his disposal a touch of Hill Country terrain with dramatic elevation changes, as well as the typical Houston- area prairie lands. From this he was able to carve the links-style Highlands Course and the more traditional Lakes Course.
As its name implies, the Lakes Course, which tips out at a par 72 7,016 yards, is loaded with water. The best hole is the 539-yard No. 7, which is listed as the number one handicap. Interestingly, the four easiest holes are the par 3s, which range from 165 to 218 yards.

Great course to play
It was a beautiful day to play golf in a great course, the only thing o want to mention is the speed bumps are not very visible, maybe it’s time to paint them. Lol
Overrated for what we paid! GPS didn’t read well with fairways being so close to each other. Some holes we were actually shooting at the wrong flag because of this. Many holes we found others shooting way too close to us as well. No bathrooms anywhere on the course and no mention of that anywhere!
Best Public Course in Houston!
This course is very well maintained and challenging in a great way. You have to be strategic to play this course well and not just crack the big stick everywhere.
Greens were okay, the rest of the course was a goat path.
I would not waste my time or money if you are a decent golfer. Many much better courses in Houston. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for and this is about $65 worth.
Good course but insufficient guidance
Course in a good shape. Always entertaining and challenging. Course guiding information is not sufficient ( missing a maps board at the t-boxes and directions to flag and next T) played the wrong green and needed others assistance to find e.g. t-box 2…
Great course
Had a great day. The course was very difficult with a lot of blind shots. The course was in great shape and the pace of play was good.
Doesn’t get any better.
The best course I’ve ever played and at and it isn’t even close, I called the pro shop the minute they opened and Marcus was super friendly helped explain in detail any and every question I had. Even walked me to the carts and 1st hole. The starter was very friendly as well I think they call him Hightower, very personable and let me know about what I had ahead of me. A few holes in a nice cart girl by the name of Shelby (I think) maybe that was another person Was happy to help with whatever I needed, basically from start to finish, before I played and when I got done everyone including the manager was extremely friendly, the guys in the pro shop were joking around and the manager came in and chimed in on the fun. I Would definitely recommend this course!

Course is very much the same as when I was a member 15 years ago. Nice challenging layout, good condition. Always fun to play.
