About
Architect Roy Case created both courses on this new 36-hole, daily-fee facility that is located only 10 minutes from downtown Houston. In addition to the views of the skyline, Case had at his disposal a touch of Hill Country terrain with dramatic elevation changes, as well as the typical Houston- area prairie lands. From this he was able to carve the links-style Highlands Course and the more traditional Lakes Course.
As its name implies, the Lakes Course, which tips out at a par 72 7,016 yards, is loaded with water. The best hole is the 539-yard No. 7, which is listed as the number one handicap. Interestingly, the four easiest holes are the par 3s, which range from 165 to 218 yards.

Great Course!
My first time to play Wildcat. It was awesome! Definitely a unique course in the Houston area. The greens were in great shape. The course has a lot of blind shots. It was challenging but really fun to play. Beautiful views. I will be back again.

One of the better courses around Houston
It is hard to find good courses for the money around Houston. If you can get a hot deal this place is definitely worth it.
Greens are tough to putt on and quick, but they are nice along with the fairways.
Dallas has courses that are very close in condition for half the price. You pay for what you get around here though and this is a top 3 public course around the area when taking it all into consideration.

Nice course
We played the lakes side of the course. Everything was well kept. The greens were smooth and not too hard or soft. I really have no complaints about the conditions. The only “bad” thing is that the layout is a little confusing for your first time. Specifically the first 4 holes. The signs giving directions weren’t too clear. Briefly saw the pro shop and grill so I can’t say what it really has to offer. They did appear to have a locker room.

Dazed and Confused
It had been three years since I played the Lakes at Wildcat. Yet I did remember where the first tee had been moved…next to the water in back of the club house. The trouble was my golf watch still used the back nine as the front nine. It was blind man’s bluff until I figured it out by the third hole. The next bit of confusion, playing the white tees, was how some par 4 holes were at par five length while other par fives played like par fours. I don’t normally make three birdies. I was up to the challenge and bogeyed the monster par 4s. My game has improved in three years, getting an 81 after seeing 93 there that last time.

Solid xourse
Solid course. Very fun. Lots of water and elevation change. Play with someone who knows it well or feel the pain.

First time on the course. Layout is one that you better play with trustworthy experience partners or prepare to struggle. Find that this course has way too many blind, trick shots. If wind is howling, it really is frustrating.
Want to play it again, but waiting for winds to settle down if they ever do.

Solid course
Great course. Challenging layout especially if you are not familiar with holes given blind shots. Couple green issues here and there but greens roll true.
