About
Architect Roy Case created both courses on this new 36-hole, daily-fee facility that is located only 10 minutes from downtown Houston. In addition to the views of the skyline, Case had at his disposal a touch of Hill Country terrain with dramatic elevation changes, as well as the typical Houston- area prairie lands. From this he was able to carve the links-style Highlands Course and the more traditional Lakes Course.
As its name implies, the Lakes Course, which tips out at a par 72 7,016 yards, is loaded with water. The best hole is the 539-yard No. 7, which is listed as the number one handicap. Interestingly, the four easiest holes are the par 3s, which range from 165 to 218 yards.

Very difficult course
This is the first course I have been to. This course is a bit difficult for women to play. Especially for beginners. Still, we finished 18 holes happily and well. This makes me want to try again.

Perfect Conditions
I played Wildcat -Lakes and everything was amazing. The weather was 80 degrees partly cloudy and the course conditions were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be playing this course again.

Busy Day of Golf
This golf course will challenge your playing ability to the fullest extent, so it's best to be ready for it. I played bogey golf today because my driving was not so sharp. Towards the end of the round I discovered a lack of full concentration was the problem. As far as the golf course is concerned, it was a challenge seeing where the ideal hitting zone was, due to overgrown bamboo etc., plus, the Marshall was "push" "push" "push". There was a tournament getting started at around 12PM. I get it! Torpedo grass is becoming more of a problem here in spots too. The round ended pretty well with a par on 18 which made me happy.

Wet Day at Course
Course was is fairly good shop despite all of the recent weather issues but some maintenance is needed along with ant remediation will be needed. WE enjoyed the course through 16 holes before the heavy rain and winds came.
Overall a good outing.

I invited some out of town guest to join me and they are still talking about the experience 3 days later.
The course is in excellent shape, the staff is the best in Houston and the owners are the best. Always enjoy Wildcat

Worst Booking Policies Ever
Love the course but all tee times are prepay. Unfortunately, we had a player who could not make it. Too bad, you prepaid and are now paying for them. Great course but they charge you top rates to play and have restrictive tee time policies.

Unique and interesting course. Good elevation, undulating greens, lot of water and hazards make it a must-play course in Houston.
