The Eagles Golf Club - Forest

Green rolled great, could be a touch faster but rolled true. Bunkers were well maintained, no inconsistency from hole to hole. Not the longest course but plenty of water in play both off the tee and approach shots which makes accuracy here a must. One drivable par 4 and gettable par 5's makes for an exciting round.

Course was in great shape. Thay are repairing and fertilizing some of the tees, to make your golfing even better.

Simply-this is a great golf course. We teed off just after 3 on Sunday and there were very few people there-it felt like a private club.

The greens were perfect-rolled beautifully, and I didn't see any blemishes on any of them. The fairways were lush and green. It compares favorably to the TPC course which costs 4 or 5 times as much to play.

The carts have an ice bucket with 4 bottles of water, a ball washer and a club face washer. A scratch player may not face the greatest challenge they ever had, but anyone within a 5 to 20 handicap will love this course. There are a few forced carries over water, but I'd guess that the longest was about 150 to 175 yards-we played everything from the blue tees, about 6200 yards. The course doesn't penalize you drastically on your drives, unless they are very wild, and it's not a ball eater.

The Eagles Forest is a very playable, beautifully conditioned, fun course that I will be returning to often. This is the best course I have played in the Tampa area, especially at the price.

Challenging fun layout. The course is in nice shape, not highly manicured but well maintained. Son and I both 9 handicaps, shot 81 and 84. Lots of wildlife. Well worth the $

Booked Forest but went out on lakes due to couples event booked right before my tee time at 2:43 PM. No issues going to other 18 the Lakes, paired up with other Golf Nowers for a nice round. Conditions good to above average for all facets of the course. Greens really rolled great. Layout good, but beat me up today since this course is about angles with many overhanging branches and water hazards, not to mention my poor driving today compounded my problems. Pleasure to play for the challenge.

Enjoyable round on a moderately challenging course. Forward tees for seniors makes this course worth playing more than once

The heat got to us as the day wore on, play early or late to avoid our problem. Lots of water that you don't see from the tee boxes, take lots of balls.

Lots of water comes into play, but if you hit it straight you're fine. Greens had a sand top dressing, but they putted true.

The course was in good condition; greens were smooth and fast. Will play again when back in Tampa.

Greens were punched awhile back and have not grown in... Impossible to putt

I knew I was in trouble when I got to the practice green. It was in the worst shape of any of the 20 courses I have played in he Tampa area in the last 2 months. I even considered asking for a refund before I teed off on the first tee. I thought that the actual greens couldn't be that bad. They weren't, but they were bumpy, sandy, and did not run true. The fairways were ok, but the tees and greens were barren. Find another place to play.

Fun layout lots of water , will definitely play it again

I played this course alone and one thing that is not ears is knowing where to place tee shots. The layout is not obvious and the hole layout on the cart did not help that much. For the rest the course was fine with decent condition.

Course was in great condition. Layout is somewhat challenging with lots of water. Tees boxes and greens great. Fairways were mostly generous. Complimentary ice and water in cart cooler was a nice touch. Saw a BIG GATOR and later about 10 deer. Just beautiful!

20 years ago, The Eagles was one of the top semi-private courses in the Tampa Bay area. Unfortunately, those days are gone. Fairways were dry and sparse, the rough around the course burned out. Greens were very average with discoloration throughout. Not worth the trip at all with so many other better options in the area.

We love everything about it! The wildlife late afternoon is amazing!

There are two courses here, the forest and lakes, both great, the forest is more tigh, and you can loose balls very easy, the lakes is more wide open.

Great places to play at.
