Westchase Golf Club
About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

Great course
Course was in good condition. Fun layout. Would recommend for the price in the area.
Westchase Conditions
I have played this course many times. It has always been my favorite. I understand it has had some problems with drainage. This should probably be addressed by the management. I can work around that, but there was much more weed infringement in the fairways and tee boxes than I have ever seen before. That needs to be addressed if they plan to charge the prices they do.
Pricy
The course was in good shape with exception of a few greens which appeared to burnt and need some work. Compared to neighboring courses the course fee is on the high side
Challenges all thru out whole course
Great layout & design , decent greens , needs little work
Great Conversational Course
Its been 10-yrs since I played a round here and the course is still a nice golf course to play. While my wife and I have found more challenging courses, the Back 9 here can get challenging enough to send you home thinking that was a nice play.
Corduroy Greens
Other than greens not recovered from aeration and rolling like corduroy, the first nine holes were great. The second nine was painfully slow due to one super slow group of ladies.
Greens Being Aerated
Great course and great layout. I can't complain I paid next to nothing with Golf Pass
SLOW SLOW SLOW Play
This course was way overbooked we played 18 holes in just under 6 hours. The ranger kept apologizing, but also said they simply had 2 very slow playing groups that also brought extra people beyond the size and tee times set aside for them.
The course is in good shape, but we won't be back.
Bad greens, decent layout
Haven’t played here and was disappointed. Overall a decent course, some holes you are hitting along busy roads. There were some kids on one of the fairways that wouldn’t move while we were hitting. The greens were closer to putt-putt. They were aerified and didn’t seem to be rolled. For the price it wasn’t good enough.
Westchase Golf Club
Played Westchase in the morning and everything was great…quick check in, went out right away and the course was in excellent shape. Highly recommend if you haven’t played here…
Greens punched
The green have been recently punched. They needed some sand to fool the punches. Putting was vert difficult. The c ourselves otherwise was in great shape. Played this course regularly when it opened. Then bit so much when the prices were out of control. Also the driving range was dirt. Not so good.
Would play again
Haven’t been out to Westchase in quite some time. Mainly due to the crazy cost being charged to play it. Got lucky and snagged a fairly priced twilight round. Looks as if the course was punched within the last 10 days, maybe that explains the rate, but it wasn’t so bad you couldn’t enjoy it. Some bumpy putts but to be expected. Pace of play was bunched as we hit the back 9 but overall didn’t completely kill the vibe. Some tee boxes could use some work but what course couldn’t. Seems not many fill divot holes anymore. If the rate remains similar I would be happy to play again. $80-100 not so much.
