About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Pace of Play and stacked tee box
This is my 3rd time at this course and will never be back. All 3 times they’ve had a minimum of 8 people stacked on tee #1. As long as they get their money, they don’t care how actual play is ran.
Great course
The greens were immaculate! The lakes were teeming with fish and wildlife. They have one crazy par 4 which should be a par 5 in my opinion. Overall great course…no cart girl.
Can't wait
For the snowbirds to go home. Course was so crowded it was a challenge to enjoy the round. Not the course's fault but true never-the-less.
Good course
Enjoyed playing this course…there were a group of 5 ahead that slowed the play a little but all in all it was a great day of golf.
Executive
Executive course. Tee boxes, greens and fairways are in very good shape. Still some tough holes as the greens have deceptive breaks. Lots of ponds. Group in front of us decided to fish for balls at EVERY pond which slowed us down a lot.
Great course great value short game tester
I don’t know why there’s so much negative reviews for this. This course is amazing and it’s a great value. The pace of play was a bit slow, but that’s because there were leagues there. I would recommend checking in if a league is playing that day however, the game was great it tests your short game and honestly, if you can play well here, I would imagine you would play amazing anywhere else. Most of our golf game is short game. I would venture to say.
Highly recommended and we’ll play there again
Green conditions were great there was one or two greens that had some rough patches, but I believe they are working on that aside from that. I love the challenge and definitely forces you to really plan your approach even on short part three that are 60 to 90 yards
Review
My buddies and I played from the "tips"...but at only 3500 yds, it was still a bit challenging......my advice is to leave the driver in the bag as it really wasn't needed. For a short "executive type" course, it had eleven par 3's and seven par 4's......par 61 and we were happy shooting in the mid 80's........It was a bit crowded when we arrived and couldn't play before our 12/22 tee time because of league play during the late morning.......Overall, a nice well-kept course and not too expensive.....looking to return again someday soon.....
Let get a Starter
Hot to extremely hot day to golf , must have taken a bite out of me as I could not finish the round.
Pace of play was too slow on the first 9 and I got discouraged 🫤.
My playing partners had a great time regardless of pace or heat . They enjoyed the course and look forward to
returning.
May be an official Starter is required at hole 1 and a few Marshall’s moving the play along when it gets backed up.

Fun course for beginners
A great place to take my young granddaughter, who is just learning. A lot of people had the same idea, as there were a lot of couples and new golfers out enjoying the day. A nice short course for practicing your short game.
