Countryway Golf Club

I keep giving this little course a chance, but it just always turns out the same. The conditions and layout aren’t bad or the issue. It’s just always the pace of play and the unwillingness of the staff to address it.

Had a tee time before 8:00 am and even already by then it was backed up 5 holes deep. I’m sure some of it has to do with the large number of people who choose to walk it instead of use a cart, but you would think for such a small executive course that could be manageable. Just never seems to work out for me. Wound up giving it up after just 4 holes because I can’t keep my swing warmed up having to wait 15 minutes between each shot.

They always have a ranger out there, but I’ve never been able to get them to address anything or act like they care.

Just not going to be an option for me anymore unfortunately.

As you’d expect from an exec course staff is friendly

I hadn't been here in about 5 months. The greens were just in fantastic shape, I was extremely impressed!! Major props for the greenskeepers, I will be back!!

Great for players starting out and do not play at a good pace. A par 62 executive course that takes almost 5 hrs to play was too long for me. The “ranger” just rode around and did not understand how to speed things up or look for any gaps in between groups. We had 12 people on several tee boxes waiting to tee off throughout the day. Maybe better on week days? No more weekends for me.

I played CountryWay on a Saturday. Which is not always a good idea because it’s one of their busiest days.. The pace of play was very slow because the course was crowded and at one point there were actually a group of six trying to play. I knew this was going to probably happen so we just sat back and tried to enjoy it as much as possible. The course itself was in fairly good shape. The greens were good fairways could use a little work but other than that it is a good option to a par 72 course.

There were some holes that moved the tee boxes forward, also large areas that were roped off because of the rain and were muddy! Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink! Literally no drinking water on the course, and it’s the middle of August, in Florida! Really BRING YOUR OWN HYDRATION!!

Greens are great, fairways are stable, peeps are friendly, it’s a nice little course and hard to beat for the money and time. It is challenging short course. Good luck!!

Played by myself, 18 holes in 2:45 and I’m not a good player. Par 62 so short but fun. Doug, the starter (shout out to WNY), was great. Great prices in clubhouse also…
