Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Greenhead bugs ruined the experience
We will come back to the Pines and I do hope to play the back nine at the base someday I just got to get better bug spray!!!
Historic course
Historic course. Old school layout. In good condition. Tee boxes a little worn. Got it at a discounted internet rate through Golfnow.
Great course
The course was amazing. Everything was very well taken care of and there is nothing to complain about. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lot of fescue and bunkers which made hitting fairways and greens difficult. Just like the rest of the course the views were exceptional and I will be back
Update to previous review
I heard from two different members of the Troon Management team and both assured me the information I received was false and single golfers will be provided there own carts. I appreciate their timely response and look forward to playing at Seaview in August.
Non complience
I am very disappointed in the response I received today from the pro shop, I was planning on staying at Seaview resort in August, I called the pro shop and asked as a single golfer if I would get to take my own cart. I was told no. Picture this, I enter the pro shop wearing a mask as required, the pro shop employee behind a plexiglass divider will be wearing a mask as required, yet they will put me in a golf cart with a complete stranger with no way to social distance while charging me $129. A disgrace. I have stayed at Seaview three of the last four summers and golfed there on numerous occasions. No more and I will be following up with a complaint to the governors office as I cannot see how this can be compliant with his latest orders. I have also played at three different courses over the last two weeks who either allow a single golfer his own cart or provide a divider to separate golfers in the sane cart.
Seaview Bay Course Classic Donald Ross
Great seaside Donald Ross gem. Good variety of holes. Several strategic par 4's. Great view of the AC skyline. Friendly staff, very good condition. A few bumpy greens that may be attributed to late AM starting time. Would definitely play there again!
Bad Condition. Too many blood sucking sandflies.
A golf course that charges a high price for one reason that a host of the shoprite
LPGA classic.
The green is slow due to poor care, and grass is not cut, so the ball cannot be found. I felt overwhelmed to play golf for over $100.
What s more, I couldn't play golf because the sandflies that sucked human blood ran and bite through the 18 holes. This golf course should not be opened until the golfer's blood sucking sandfly is removed.

Expected more
Was pretty fired up to play The Bay and walked away feeling unsatisfied. Partly because there wasn’t one hole I think I’ll remember but more importantly, not the friendliest of staffs. Got to the course an hour early to hit balls and didn’t get a cart till 15 mins before tee time in which they rushed us (only a twosome) with 3 foursomes in a log jam ahead of us and no one behind us for 30 mins. That was bizzare. Nice course, and we’ll kept but fed not as impressed as I’d thought I’d be.
Fantastic Course
Absolutely fantastic course. The fairways are a little tight compared to what I'm used to but I managed to pull together a normal score. The place is beautiful. I absolutely loved the roll of the greens.
Really good overall golf experience
Had a great day today at Seaview. Booked day before on Golfnow for 3 ball but one player had to drop out - no issue at pro shop and they were very welcoming. Starter was awesome - got us off early. Other than bunkers course was in really good shape - love the lay out - plenty of blind shots and high fescue in strategic spots. If you hit it straight you can score - famous last words ! Views amazing as well. Bring bug spray - we had some flies.
Also highly recommend a course book or get an app with the hole layouts.
Great course
Course conditions were top notch. Fast undulating greens but rolled true.
