Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Great golf day!
I had a group of 8 women out to play the Bay course and we had a terrific experience. The course was in great condition pace of play was right on schedule and our overall experience was really enjoyable. Thank your
Huge disappointment
Slow play, too expensive, poor cart path, poor tee boxes, and too many bugs.
Wouldn’t even consider paying $80 a round here.
Not worth it
Let’s just say I play a decent amount of golf but left this course extremely disappointed. Usually I’m in agreeance with reviews on golf advisor and typically do my due diligence, but this one stumped me.
Where to start...
$140 - for a round here is completely unacceptable.
The tee boxes - poor shape with divots, high grass, and off level footing everywhere. You won’t feel comfortable hitting one ball. Okay, maybe one..but that’s it.
The cart paths - poor, plain and simple. I locked up my back a couple times rolling into the never ending pothole country they call a path. I even noticed some gaping holes in the rough where I lost my footing. But it’s okay, that was just a reminder of the mistake I made booking this course.
The pace of play - disastrous (our starter assured us the members ahead were quick and under 4 hours). That was not the case.
The course - Awkwardly, it plays tight on the front with a few blind shots surrounded by fescue. Expect to lose at least 2/3 balls. If you shoot in the 90’s get ready to empty your bag. Even though my cheeks were a bit tight after the front, the back is a different story. A little more open and forgiving but still not up to the standards I expected.
Sprinklers - on one of our holes the sprinkler remained on so we were at a standstill for about 8 minutes so we just watched our box and fare-way get showered on while we melted in the sun.
BUGS - I battled bug bites more than I battled the track itself. I killed 3 bugs within 40 seconds and felt better about that more than my birdie putt.
Luckily, I shot a 37 on the back which gave me a little hope in liking this course. Unfortunately, the damage was done and I quickly realized I would never come back here. Ever.
If the price was $40 a round I MIGHT actually consider playing there again until the reflex instilled in my brain reacted and told me NO so I can actually enjoy myself and play either Twisted Dunes, Atlantic City, or Ballamor.
Tough rough
Fairway and green are in excellent shape. Ross is really hard to get out of. A lot of fescue. Awesome views of bay and Atlantic City.
Wonderful facility, great staff, wide open layout on bay course
First off this isn't just a golf course, it's a full service golf facility with an attached spa and hotel. We are never disappointed playing either course. The bay has better views, and a easier open layout while the pines is tighter and a bit more challenging (and has more bugs). This is a true resort experience and we always feel like we are getting the private upscale experience here without the commitment or investment. Dollar for dollar there isn't a better option.
Beautiful PGA level course. Short but challenging!
We played at 3pm on a Saturday and the course was virtually empty. Course was in pretty pristine condition considering the LPGA ShopRite Open was just held here a few weeks before.
The one bad part...the horse flies were HORRIBLE.
BRING BIG SPRAY!!
Could been a solid 5 star rating
Great place only issue was the cart girl(woman) was miserable every time we saw her and pace of play is terrible because it seems they are trying to get most money they can. Not held to tee time, “when group ahead you hits second shot you can go” this will cause delays all the time.
The course is in excellent shape and is such a great layout
We love this course
It is scenic and interesting
A great mix of long and short par fours
Three of the par fours are very long and two of them are similar but we could play this diamond over and over
Challenging
Course was a great deal on GN. Course was in great shape and greens were lightning quick. Getting them ready for the LPGA ShopRite Classic in June I suppose. Windy and challenging course. Not long even from back tees except for a 230 yard par 3. Hit Deiver into the wind and still short lol. Highly recommended and great staff
Seaview Golf & Resort
Seaview never disappoints! Beautiful course with incredible views. Love it!
A great round of golf and so worth the trip!
The weather held up for most of the round as the forecast was for upper 50s and 60s with 40% chance of rain. Rain fell around the 13th hole til the end.
You'll pull up to the hotel and be sure to shop at the Pro Shop. It's well stocked. It's $6 for 45 balls on the range. You'll have to take a shuttle service to the range which is set toward the Pines course. Decent range, nothing spectacular, with just ok yellow range balls. I didn't get a chance to hit the chipping or putting greens.
The putting green by the Pro Shop is decent sized. Pretty similar to the greens on the course. The greens were in great shape on 4/22/19 after getting aerated in late March. You have to walk over the street to get the Bay Course.
Hole #2 is the gem on the course and is right on the bay overlooking the AC skyline. Awesome views!
Overall, the course was in great shape. I highly recommend playing it. The slope is 123 from the Blue tees but I think it plays way harder. There are a lot of blind tee shots. There are tough angles on most holes and as a first-time player, it was difficult to hit the fairway or catch the correct side of the fairway. The landing areas feel narrow except on the straightaway holes.
If you're caught in a deep fairway bunker, be smart. If you're caught in the greenside thick grass, be smart. But the greens are very pure, roll true, and are not super fast. They're not crazy undulated minus a few holes that are very difficult if you're on the wrong side of the green.
This is a challenging course - don't be fooled by the course rating/slope. Plays harder! Don't be fooled by the short yardage either. Plays longer too due to the winds.
If you're able to play this course, do yourself a favor and play it. I heard from a local we got paired with that the mosquitoes are pretty awful in the warm summer months. Good luck with that.
Nice course. The only issue was the greens didn't seemed to be cut which made for fuzzy and bumpy conditions. Would have been much better if rolled or cut.
Great layout
I have played the Bay course several times but never played the Pines course. I’m hooked! Great layout, fabulous condition, and can’t beat the GolfNow price!!!
Re: Introduction
I know why the LPGA plays the Shoprite Tournament here. Challenging, rewarding, and makes you concentrate on every aspect of your game. Fast greens but receptive, tight lies in the fairway, heavy rough is punishing. But if you take a risk and pull it off, you are nicely rewarded. Love this course
Enjoyable
Nice course, tougher than Pines. Links style. Cold breeze coming off the Bay made it interesting. Was told that the Bay Course was 10 degrees cooler that the Pines and they’re right across the street from each other!!
Very playable course. Very quick and tricky greens. Overall fun day
Love playing here
This course is usually out of our price range but in the off season we try and take advantage of a reduced rate. Course is not in its best condition like the summer but is better than almost anywhere else we play in the off season. Love the Bay course.
Classic layout
Warren was super nice and took wonderful care of us.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
I play this course a couple times a year. Fun times. I also work at another course. I couldnt help my self in responding to a silly complaint you had. On 7/20 the heat index was 112 degrees. You CAN'T complain about the sprinklers being on for 8 minutes. The super is just trying to keep the grass alive, dude! every course in America would do the same. The sprinklers are set on an 8 minute cycle with the intention that you may hit off grass and not dirt. As for the bugs...youre on the bay! That would be the same as complaining about alligators in Florida. There is an expectation they will be present if the wind blows wrong. the course cant put mosquito netting around the whole place. they cant be faulted for bugs, for God's sake.
