Seaview - The Bay Course

... the best in the state, for public golf. Condition were excellent, greens were quick and terrific views

Let me get this out of the way, I don't think this course should be priced over 100 dollars. To be fair, I get all the factors as to why they can charge that much. As for the actual course, the conditions were really very nice, greens true, tees and fairways cut nice and the wind was very strong!! As a first time playing the course, thought the layout was slightly confusing, and with cart path only today, and not really knowing where I was hitting, I lost alot of balls that did not end up out of play. I would come back and play for maybe half of the price, now that I know where I'm hitting it and where not to hit it. Staff were an A+

Bay side is a very interesting links style course. Greens are challenging and wind is a major factor. Very good condition for mid April. Will definitely be back.

Tight fairways and fast greens make for a great day of golf.....you must be on target from tee to green.

Play smart and leave your driver in the bag if you play from the whites.

The course was in great shape for early April. the greens were what they were.

I made the 4 hour drive to South Jersey to play this historic course on a perfect late March afternoon. I'm a sucker for classic design and the Bay Course did not disappoint. Club selection (I love great short par 4's), the short game, playing the angles and smart misses/keeping the ball below the hole are needed to score well. The ability to flight the ball when it's windy certainly helps too. Thankfully it was only a 10-15 mph "breeze" on the day I played.

I played from the tips which is only 6,300 yards but it's still a very good test of golf for a single digit hdcp. Especially when you have no local knowledge outside of google maps.

It's still early in the in the year so the course conditions were a little rough around the edges relative their potential. I'd like to play it again in Mid -May before the ShopRite Classic.

Site of the LPGA ShopRite Classic, this is indeed a classic old style golf course. While not overly long this course will challenge you at every turn with old style run off greens that look like a postage stamp even with a wedge in your hands. The defense of this course set hard on Reeds Bay across from Atlantic City is the wind. It's always windy there. Three years ago when the winning score for the LPGA tournament was one under par for the tournament a commentator on Golf Channel said they came here for the ShopRite and a US Open broke out. Yes, the course was playing that difficult. It is mostly links like open but in season there are patches of thick high grasses in areas off the fairways and around bunkers and if you hit into those areas you aren't likely to be able to hit out. It's a must play when in the area and for my money I like this course over it's sister The Pines course at the resort. Oh, one more thing. When Sam Snead played and won the 1942 PGA title there on a combination of holes from both courses he called the second hold on the Bay Course one of the most difficult par 4 holes on tour.

The Bay Course is always a challenge. One looks at the yardage and believes it lacks difficulty. But the winds are ever present off Reeds Bay, and the greens are typical tiny and challenging from the mind of Donald Ross.

I have played most of the courses in the Atlantic City area and this course is the best, It is in very good condiction especially the greens.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Beautiful view looking out at the Atlantic City skyline.

If your coming to AC to play golf make this course one of your selections. You wouldn't, be disappointed

Classic course with tricky greens. Great condition for late February.

it was a 5 hour round and i heard they aerated the greens late in the season last year and they never came also there was a 5some in front of us that i heard were members

It's February - I get it. Courses aren't in perfect shape... but, their greens ARE STILL AERATED!!!

You wanna roll the ball in the hole from six feet? Good luck! They are literally like a Chinese Checker board.

It was so frustrating, we gave up on them after the front and began chipping/putting with 7-irons on the greens.

The cart guy said, "Yeah - this is how they are in the winter". Well, that's all I have to hear to avoid this place "in the winter".

A waste of a perfect February golf day!!!

The course was in good shape, the price was great.
