Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

greens and pace of play
it was a 5 hour round and i heard they aerated the greens late in the season last year and they never came also there was a 5some in front of us that i heard were members
Greens are STILL AERATED!!! Awful!
It's February - I get it. Courses aren't in perfect shape... but, their greens ARE STILL AERATED!!!
You wanna roll the ball in the hole from six feet? Good luck! They are literally like a Chinese Checker board.
It was so frustrating, we gave up on them after the front and began chipping/putting with 7-irons on the greens.
The cart guy said, "Yeah - this is how they are in the winter". Well, that's all I have to hear to avoid this place "in the winter".
A waste of a perfect February golf day!!!
Great layout
Had great time playing this course 29$ on golf now would highly recommend this course
great time to play
played the bay course on dec. 23rd for 24$ through golf now its was a a really good day course was in excellent shape greens where very quick and tough to keep the ball on.................... i drove from philly to play and it was well worth the trip .................

Pin placements will determine your score.
This is a typical Donald Ross design with generous sized but undulating greens. And depending on the pin placement can play fairly easy or very difficult.
First off the staff was very friendly both in the pro shop and especially Bob the starter, who will also transport your clubs from the pro shop across the street to the Bay Course.
The two things that affected our scores the day we played were the windy conditions and the aerated greens. The tee boxes and fairways were all in good shape especially for this time of year in the NE. There were a few soft and wet spots due to rain on the previous 2 days, which most will then play lift clean and place.
The course is relatively short compared to more recently built courses, but the par 3's make up for that with 3 of them playing at or over 200 yards, and then factoring in the wind on a fairly wide open course can make them very difficult and par a very good score. Your best scoring opportunities are the 17th, the only short par 3, and 3 short par 5's.
The greens, although recently punched were clean of sand and debris and played very fast which surprised me. But I believe they rolled them that morning.
I will definitely return to play this course under better conditions but really enjoyed the round.
Nice course
It was the first time to play Bay Course. It is fair from tee with wide and flat fairways. But greens are small and undulated.
One of my favorites in this area.
Great views of Atlantic City and challenging layout. Only down side was the greens were aerated a week ago so they were not in their normal great condition
Nice round of golf
All around nice round of golf. The course was in very nice shape, weather was great for November and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that we were paired up wit 2 other golfers. It is a minor issue but I saw other twosomes out on the course and wonder why we were paired. Because we were golfnow customers maybe???
Seaview bBay or Pines is classic
The Bay course was the first Seaview (1914) course followed by the Pines. In the fall the Bay is a links type course with manageable leaves and Atlantic views to remember. It is preferable to the Pines course because it excludes the lost fairway drives that we all have experienced. Although I typically play the Pines, the Bay is absolutely wonderful. seaview is a must regardless of which course one plays.
Great as always!!!
I was a member of Seaview for years. Only had the pleasure of playing it twice this year and as always.... the staff , facility and Bay course was excellent!!!! I love the facelift and new tees!!!!
great first time experience
first time playing Seaview and it won't be the last! got a great deal for a round for 2 golfers and we both had nothing but great things to say about the course. pretty challenging to say the least, from the greens being made of glass to the rough length and most of all the green side bunkers, i had to really think about the shots i was going to play. very fun and the groups were very well spaced out. wind was a contributing factor but you can't hate mother nature for adding to the challenge. will definitely play here again!
great deal
For $45 you can't beat it. Great condition. Slow on front due to an outing finishing up but back moved good.
Country Club atmosphere.
Staff very friendly, helpful.
It's worth it
The course is in good condition. The fairway rough is not for begginers. I happen to like it because you should not be rewarded for hitting a tee shot anywhere. The wind makes it extremely challenging. We definitely will play it again
Beautiful course
Course was in excellent condition and starter got us out before our scheduled tee time. One issue is that we never saw a ranger out there and pace of play could have been much faster. On one hole one of the individuals in the group in front of us took 17 practice swings. The 17 swings is not a misprint, it is just rediculous. Enough said.
