Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

very slow
5 hour round finished in the dark due to one slow group several holes ahead horse flies were biting while we waited to hit our shots holes are crowded together so there is always another group close by you while playing
Perfect Day on the Course
My wife and I had gone to see the LPGA Shoprite Classic in June and loved walking around the course. She really wanted to play on the same course as the pros so when we saw a hot deal on Golf Now we eagerly snapped it up. The weather was perfect but bring your bug spray - the nasty flies are everywhere. Greens were fantastic, fairways super, and the rough was rough! The only complaint was the traps - not really dressed for play but can't have everything all the time. Staff was super helpful and pleasant and it was great to be able to shower and change before heading out to dinner.
Sea view bay course
Greens where in great shape. Some ground under repair on fringes. Pace was very good. We did not really eat.
Seaview
Nice facility. Extremely courteous and helpfull staff. All around good day of golf.
Resort course
Great resort course. Pace of play was fantastic. Staff were very professional.
A Classic that is a pleasure to play
I really like this place. From the middle tees, the course is not long or overly tough. But it is challenging. (If you want an extra challenge. the LPGA Shoprite Classic is here each year, play the week after - shaved all around lightning fast greens.)
The greens are always in good shape. The views of Atlantic City are awesome. They have done a great job controlling greenhead flies, but wear some deet.
You really have to experience this place. Many legends have stayed and played here.
Seaview Bay Course rocks
The greens and fairways are excellently maintained. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Just don't forget the sunscreen and bug spray.
Enjoyed it!
First Timers. We were supposed to be paired up but the other twosome didn't show. Staff was great. Got out a little early. Took our time and enjoyed it. Would play again, no problem!
golf round
everything was perfect the course conditions were excellent.
AMAZING
A must must play. Staff was awesome course was amazing. The kitchen in the restaurant is slow would be my only complaint. It took 25 minutes for my turkey club to come out and I was the only person in the place. But everything else was 110%
what a nice course
Wanted to play this course after it held the LPGA ShopRite Classic to get the feel of what ladies had to deal with. Everything was great but the green was not rolled. Still it was fast. So imagine when it is set up the LPGA. Very nice and fun to play.
An Awesome Experience
Course was completely ready for next week's LPGA event. Grandstands were even up making a surreal experience. Greens were fast and true. Fairways pristine, rough was long and fescue impossible in areas. An amazing experience to play a tour level course just days before The LPGA tour lands. Course has been lengthened beyond the yardage even on card. Biggest changes are 5th which is 50yds longer; 4th where no tee changes shot angle and 12th whic h is 30yds longer. A must play.
A nice open course
Remember this course from my working days and was great to see and play it again. I plan to do it again
A nice outing
My husband and I enjoyed this course. We played it 2 weeks before the ShopRite LPGA tournament and the morning after a torrential downpour. The course played well even though it was quite wet. I had heard if you got off the fairway, the play was brutal. This was a highly accurate statement. In spite of being a cart path only day, the pace was good - clearly everyone was slowed down by the hazards and the soaked conditions, but overall, a great day on the course.
Played just before LPGA.
Played just before the Shoprite and the course was in good condition with a high rough . The winds off the bay makes the course fun to play and the greens are always fun to play. We got a great price with GolfNow hot deals, better than most courses charge for 9 holes. The very short 17th hole is always a fun hole with sand traps protecting it and a fun green to putt on.
Wanted to love it, but....
This course is in very good shape BUT it's really rather boring, as is the Pines course. I took both of the Seaview courses off my list of Must-Plays-While-in-AtlanticCity a few years ago, believing that they really weren't worth the money. But I wanted to re-visit them on this trip to see if I still felt that way. My experience this week confirmed that for me, they should be left off. Both are in good condition, but are mainly just back-and-forth, flat courses with little else going on.
That being said, for those who want to forge ahead anyway, the greens on the Bay Course were very difficult to read and added some spice into the bland mix of the sameness of each hole. And of course, the wind added some excitement, too. Unfortunately, the greens on the Pines course were a little lumpy, but it's early in the season and to be expected if rates were much lower. For $110 on a Sunday afternoon, we were expecting a little better than that.....
Great Weekend Hot Deal
Started and finished before the crowds and wind. Looks like they are keeping the rough long in prep for LPGA. Pin placements were very challenging. Great day on the links!
big improvement
We were amazed with the improvements in course conditions from a year ago. The entire facility looks great.
simply the best
Seaview is an old course with small greens and in perfect condition...A bit pricy...still always worth it.
