Seaview - The Pines Course
About
The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

Tight baby tight
Great course, very challenging, you pay for mistakes. Great layout, tight, OPEN rough. Wanted to go for 36.
A day at the beach
This older course was a pleasure to play. Lots of bunkers on every hole. Very good condition. Greens were very fast but true. Staff was very hospitable and helpful to first time players at this course.
Nice little "old style" parkland course, but way overpriced
Very enjoyable 1920's design. Course caters to so many tourist that don't understand golf etiquette. Greens had so many ball marks, I gave up trying to fix them (minimum 15-25/green). Rack price of $99 is a joke. Worth $35-50 max.
Wonderful Old School Course
This course is a good old course. It is not flashy or gimmicky. A solid course in great condition. Lots of dog legs, somewhat hilly, very little water. The service is top notch as is the old resort hotel there. A good choice if you are staying in Atlantic City
Better than I thought it would be
It was over cast and the course was challenging. The greens where wet and the course was well maintained. Cart woman had noting worth while to eat and there was no open halfway house. you have to go all the way back to the club house to get something to eat.
day in the pines
nice course very familiar with it and despite changes in operator's has maintained high standard for play. sister course cross is gearing up for lpga beautiful tuesday with a 3.5 hour round and no waiting course has been pared back as far as extra trees/vegatation courtesy of the delreccho and management. mcgettign 19th hole is friendly and full of golfer/locals
Seaview Golf Outing
Great day at Seaview Pines in Galloway NJ. The weather was perfect for the first Saurday in May 2014. The staff was great including the starters, who immediately told us there was a 10 minute delay on tee times. They held to the short delay. The course was in pretty good condition with some of the greens bumpy from a recent dressing. Pace was great for a midday weekend round. The resort was very busy and parking was at a premium. Made the tee times through GolfNow. It was a great deal which turned into a great day.
Surprisingly Disappointing
This is a course that I've played many times over many years. I always look forward to playing @ Seaview--whether on the Bay Course or the Pines Course--because it's tough but fair, usually in excellent shape, and is part of a well-run facility. Add to that the great deal I got on greens fees on Golfnow.com and you have the makings of a great round. Regrettably, that was not the case yesterday.
The greens, which usually tend to be pretty quick, were extremely slow, and were bumpy as all get out. Jeez, is mowing and rolling them too much to ask? And there seemed to be more hard pan and patchy spots in the rough than is usually the case (perhaps as a result of the harsh winter?). Additionally, the foursome in front of us was horribly slow. On the second hole, the ranger asked us how we were making out (things were still OK at that point) but we never laid eyes on him again. By the 7th or 8th hole we were waiting on every hole.
I will return to Seaview as I view yesterday's experience as an aberration. Hopefully it does not portend things to come.
classic course
It was very windy when we played (30 mph gusts). Other then that it was a good experience. I've played both courses here before and they are both excellent. The LPGA plays the shoprite classic on the bay course.
KEEP THE BALL LOW
We used the Golf Now Philly promotion and got an incredible deal on what turned out to be a pretty nice day. It was windy, but mostly sunny and close to 60. We(2) played in around 4 hours, but took our time and let several other twosomes pass. The fairways were in great shape. The greens were close to being right but were still a little bumpy as they had aerated two weeks prior. I thought it was strange that so many locals were walking and riding bikes around the course. I guess the kids were on Spring Break. Anyway, it didn't ruin the fun. When it's windy like that, you have to keep the ball down. Don't hit driver on #9 if you hit it 250+. Not a lot of maps or signage on the scorecard or course. I certainly can't complain with what we paid though...
Great Course
We played here in mid April and course was in great shape. The pace of play was excellent, once we teed off we never had to wait again. We paid $40 greens fee thru Golf Now you would be hard pressed to find a better deal!
Challenging layout / fast greens
Lots of sand, fast greens, long holes, good test..
Beware the Wind
Course was in decent shape, except for the fact that the greens were recently aerated and golfnow did not specify that with the aeration icon when I booked the teetime. Course was wind blown, as it is most of the time being on the bay.
Great day for Golf
Only thing missing was playing with friends Course is great and everything else that went along with. All for 20 bucks
One of my favorite courses.
Played the pines. The greens were sanded this week. Better than expected but putting was difficult. When a course has an issue like this a reduced price should be given. $79 for sanded greens at 1:30pm was a bit much. With that being said, pace of play was excellent and the rest of the course was in great shape. It still remains one of my favorite places to play and can't wait to return.
greens
Greens had been aerated but not mentioned on golfnow. Informed me in proshop. Aerated holes have putts moving all different directions. Would have stayed home and not driven 45 minutes if I knew about greens.
windy course
we happened to play in windy conditions so the course played hard. the greens rolled fast. fairways are tight and bunkers come into play a lot of the tees. course was in great shape for the time in the year. they will need to repair the bunkers from the harsh winter. looking forward to the bay course when it opens for the year.
great
It was my first time using Golf Now.It was GREAT. Reasonably priced on time and a great course.
A must play for AC
No matter that time of the year you play the Pines it is as challenging as the last. The course is well maintained year round. The pro shop, the food venue, and grounds are exemplary. The resort makes you feel like the Roaring Twenties.
If you're a serious golfer you must experience this gem.
Challenging
Challenging course, bunkers and trees well placed, stay in the fairway.
