Undergoing Reservations, But A Great Short Course
The course is undergoing renovations and most of the holes have temporary tees, but it’s otherwise a beautiful short course and very picturesque. Bring balls as the grass surrounding the fairways and greens is deceptively thick and you can easily lose balls that you saw land safely. While the course layout and length is perfect for walkers, you may want to think twice. I went out at 7AM in June and was drenched by the fourth hole. So save the walking for cooler months.
Ground under Repair
While I knew there were several greens under repair, it was worse than I thought. The price should be even lower than it is or they should just close for renovations.
People were still friendly and the pace of play was fair.
Temporary greens
There was 12 temporary greens if I had known it before I scheduled to play I would’ve not scheduled.
Summer golf
I believe we payed around $40 for 2. No where listed or stated did they say that over 3/4’s of the actual greens aren’t playable. They decided to just skull infront of the green a “green” most of which were garbage and the size of Chevy Tahoe… not to mention bunkers filled with water
Course was trash
Course is being repaired
I have played this course several times. Before mid June, this course was a super neat executive style 18 hole golf course. However, they are redoing about 13 of the greens so they have temporary greens right now. if you get a teetime for a hot deal than it is worth it, but I would not pay full price at the moment.
Once the greens are repaired, this course is worth their full price plus more, as it generally is.
Really Charming Course
This course was conveniently located. Overall it looked like a very well maintained course except for about half the greens being under repair. They do communicate the adjusted yardages for the temp greens but don't expect to be able to read/sink a putt in these makeshift greens. Despite the holes being anywhere from 25 to 60 yards shorter than listed it's still a great course to practice with a really friendly and attentive staff. Study the layouts on the Par 3s as you will lose a ball to the water if you give it a little bit too much. Enjoy.
12 temporary greens.
Once this course gets back up and running with regular greens, it will be a nice track to play. Unfortunately, I picked a bad time to play there for the first time.
Poor greens conditions
The course has always been a favorite of mine. As of recent, nearly all of the greens are temporary, cut into the fairway. Overall, the condition of the course has deteriorated significantly over the past year.
12 greens are temporary
Fun, short course, but 12 greens are being resided and temp greens REALLY shorten the already short course. So, maybe you want to go so you can finally drive a hole off t box!🤣🤣
Audubon
The course was currently under construction. 12 of the greens were temporary. I wouldn’t pay more than $15 to play there until the course is back to normal
Simply pathetic.
Our days these days can be very difficult. The humidity, and high ninety temperature, most people want to understand what we are paying for. Booked a tee time on Golfnow. When I arrived the pro shop asked if I was aware of temporary greens. No I was not. It was not mentioned on Golfnow. Twelve temporary greens, the bunkers were not raked. Looking at the greens, it appeared Audubon has lost them for the rest of the summer. We all understand this could happen to any course. The right thing to do is inform us before we book the tee time.
Great value at this time.
Just can’t beat the value on this course while the greens are being redone. Great surroundings, good course for advance and beginners alike. Good variety of holes regarding short and long, water obstacles etc.
Great course if you want to get a round in at the end of the day with limited time.
Great Potential, but needs work ASAP
It had been raining a lot for about 2 days before I went, so I knew the conditions wouldn’t be great. I was pleasantly surprised with the course layout for a mainly par 3 course. The biggest problem is the greens. About half of the holes were using a temporary green which cut down an already short course. If the greens can be figured out, I will be there all the time. Great value.
Sad!
Use to be my go to course! What happened. Very Sad
Should be taken off Audubon Trace! It's embarrassing as a local !!!
Work in progress.
Hard to review. They are obviously doing a lot of work out there to fix the place up, CPO par 3s and mainly so, not to bad over all but if you aren't at least a fair way steady player it makes for a lot of walking asking the question, should I just walk it save on the cart?beautiful grounds, short of some crusty greens but as I said, they are working on the course so it's hard to take points for a. Couple patchy greens.
Great Low Par Course!
You can move pretty fast through this course. The greens are not in the best condition right now both they did give me a discount because of that. Golf cart also has cooler with ice.
Awful Conditions
Every single green is burned and seven par three's are using temporary greens. One hole had yardage from tee to flag of 29 yards. In my opinion they are a year from being right. I wouldn't pay more than $10 plus cart to play this course right now.
Greens under construction
The greens were in bad shape currently but the starter assured us that they would all be completely redone for the summer. Looking forward to the updates.
Poor course conditions.
Auduban has really fallen into awful condition. Most of the greens are absolutely terrible and practically unplayable. They also had tee boxes that were in such poor conditions, that we had to hit off a mat. Even if they are working on repairs, it will be years before this course will be back to great conditions. I was also very surprised of how crowded it was, because with the rates they were charging and the course being in those poor conditions, I’m surprised that there were so many golfers. I do not recommend, to anyone, playing this course.
