About
Founded in 1894, Duns Golf Club has gone through many changes in its more than a century of existence, and continues to challenge the locals of Berwickshire as well as traveling golfers.
In 1921, the golf course was moved to its present location at the Hardens. There the course was designed by A.H. Scott, who also had another important job - as Royal Clubmaker to King George V. A nine-hole course until 1997,the course has grown as much in the past decade as it had the previous half-century.
The course plays to 6,298 yards from the back tees, with the women's tees set at 5,475 yards. Subtly rolling fairways give golfers exquisite views of the country side, all leading up to the signature hole - No. 15, which plays to just 107 yards, but from an elevated tee to a two-tiered green with trouble both in front and behind the hole, earning it the nickname "Double Trouble."

Golfer Reviews
Pleasant round in the countryside.
Nice course in the open countryside surrounded by rolling hills and fields. No pro shop but the clubhouse was welcoming and friendly. The course was very well maintained, the greens were rather spongy and not much run on the fairways but that was probably due to the recent heavy rain. Some long and tricky par 3’s. Enjoyed our round and well worth a visit.
Duns golf
Course great. Staff friendly. Only issue was I got stuck behind a four ball who would not let me through. They too were visitors.
Duns golf course review.
This was the 2nd time playing this course and on the day it was hot and windy.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The course is a challenge, especially when the wind gets up, but is in very good condition.
Fabulous countryside course.
Marvellous laid out course full of challenges. Wildlife is amazing and so peaceful setting. Locals are very friendly, everyone stops to chat. Played this course twice now and will be coming back. We hired a buggy second time round as the back nine holes are a wee bit hilly and we are retired so occasionally like a treat.
Holiday game
Welcomed by the very helpful steward and headed straight to tee off Unfortunately one of the guys playing in front of us was just starting to play and was a wee bit slower than a regular player. The course was in very good condition with a few cheeky par 3s, there is no doubt that I will return next year for another round.
