Eyemouth Golf Club

I booked a 2 ball through Golf Now, it coat £37 per player. Upon arrival we had a delicious bacon roll and coffee in the modern clubhouse with spectacular views of the course and sea. The club pro was very welcoming and explained the course to use before starting. The course is very varied with lots of quirky and challenging holes. The views on this course is hard to beat. We had great sunshine with very little wind. I would definitely recommend playing this course. The greens are in great condition too.

Excellent layout.good greens. Physically demanding.great views. The sixth over the cliffs is one of the best par 3 ive ever played.

Looking forward to playing Eyemouth day before going to watch Scottish Open.

Couldn't believe how slow greens were, they looked OK and rolled ok but unbelievably slow.

From the minute you arrive there is a warm friendly welcome from the Pro to the staff in the restaurant. The course is well laid out and has some very interesting and challenging greens. The course is in great condition and the fact that it’s my third visit just supports the fact that we love coming here. Make sure you visit the restaurant where the food is excellent, from well loaded breakfast rolls to the best scampi I’ve ever tasted. Visit the course and restaurant - you won’t be disappointed.

Always in great condition this course offers a great test for all abilities. Wonderful views and the 6th hole is just a joy. Go and play it.

Course was in fantastic condition for the time of year. Virtually had the place to ourselves as the wind as howling when we played. The weather didn’t detract from our enjoyment however and I can’t recommend Eyemouth highly enough. Great value for money at that price also.

From the welcome to the fantastic course and setting, I would heartily recommend you will not be disappointed.

I’ll start with a positive, I noticed a negative review regarding the pro, my experience with the pro shop was very positive, dropping in for an opportunistic game on the way back home, he was very helpful even giving us a small discount off the green fee.

Personally, I found the course very bland (sure the 6th is very dramatic) but there was simply way too much of adjacent holes merging thus giving no sense of shape or character. The 11th is a simply terrible hole essentially straight up a very steep hill. The 13th is a very dangerous hole because it’s very easy to hit a ball at the 15th green which is out of view over the hill. The fairway bunkers are just scrapes in the ground and don’t define the majority of the holes.

The setting is promising and dramatic suggesting a fine fescue sandy links but the reality is a modern clay based hard pan course.

The final straw was we had lunch and we refused to pay for the chicken dish served, as it was burnt to a crisp.

Definitely doesn’t get a recommendation from me.

Excellent return visit to Eyemouth GC. The course is in fantastic condition. Greens running quick abd true and the views from the course are stunning. Great course and one I would thoroughly recommend and hope to play here again very soon. If I stayed a little closer I'd apply for Country membership. It's that good.

We got off to a terrible start, man in shop was very rude and started off by saying never ever book through GolfNow again - always phone the club first “we get nothing from GolfNow”.

He then said score cards are at the door !!! No politeness / no have you travelled far / no first hole is a bit of a walk away - he lost interest in us after we booked through GolfNow !!!

Course was amazing and everyone we spoke to was super nice and helpful.

Eyemouth is a lovely course with some stunning holes, namely the Par 3 6th and the monster par 5 13th. Greens were in great condition.

Rattled through the first 9 as a single player, but a slow 2 ball jumped onto 10 just ahead of me, and then caught up with a 5 ball (yes a 5 ball) around 15 which slowed me down a bit. That said I thoroughly enjoyed the course with stunning sea views and will be back to play again.

Pro was very friendly upon greeting and had some lovely food afterwards in the restaurant.
