Dyker Beach Golf Course

This course presents good challenges for all of the shots/clubs in the bag.

Our tee time was delayed by about 45 minutes, there are zero carts available and the backup on the course is tough. The tee boxes are great and not great, depends what hole you’re on. If it was a cheaper price I wouldn’t complain but for what we paid it is definitely NOT worth it.

We started our round at 3:21 and we thought that would be ample time to complete 18 holes. However, the starter was quite miserable and didn’t enjoy his job whatsoever. He drove around asking us to be done while on the 14th hole. What a disappointment. The place has loads of potential and is cool experience with views of Brooklyn and the Verrazano bridge in the background. Some of the tee boxes were also just straight sand. Unfortunately won’t be racing back to this course.

I was axsingle joined by 3 other players, all gentlemen who no matter the level of their play were courteous and new the rules. There was a teen tournament which should have been supervised because the pace of play was excruciatingly slow.

Someone who was running the tournament as well as members of your staff should have moved that group along.

Otherwise our foursome enjoyed our play!

The course is in decent shape and has improved drastically over the years. That being said pace of play and price for value can be an issue. Not many better options and met some decent people, will return.

The employees seem disinterested in doing their job at all, and there's always a large backup/slow play, but other than that it's a nice course. There also aren't enough golf carts so you need to hawk down someone finishing 18 and grab their cart.

I understand it’s a public course but the staff needs to do a better job at spacing out tee times. Booked a post work tee time at 420. Didn’t tee off until 450 and due to the pace of play I barely got to play 9.

Overbooked and slow on a Wednesday morning.

Fairways are dry and brown with few exceptions. The greens are in good shape, but they should remove the rakes because nobody uses them. It’s way overpriced like everything nowadays. It’s a shame because I grew up playing here and remember when it was taken care of by good people from the neighborhood who knew how fortunate they were to have a golf course in Brooklyn.

The old stately trees and a steady breeze off New York Harbor made the mid-90’s heat and humidity very tolerable. Long par 4’s and par 3’s make this a challenging course but short par 5’s provide a reprieve. My Grandfather played here regularly in the 1930’s and early 1940’s before the family moved to Long Island.

Waited to tee off 1.5 hours after my tee time. Course was backed up whole time. Round took 5.5 hours.

Man in the pro shop was incredibly rude.

Otherwise, enjoyed the course but it could be a little better maintained.

Pace of play was a joke. Tee times seem to be first come first serve, waited 30min after my scheduled time to tee off. Pace was horrific, stopped after hole 12 - on pace for a 7.5 hour round. One tee box had four groups (16 people) waiting to tee off. Every tee box had at least two groups waiting to tee off.

Best part is if you ask the pro shop to cancel, they will say sure call GolfNow. GolfNow then says sure call the proshop. Proshop says you booked through GolfNow call them - great way to steal peoples money.

Tee times were 5-7 minute intervals apart. My tee time was booked for 12:39 but I was waiting in line to tee off till 1:30+. finished 18 at 7pm. Never coming back here again. No ranger to keep up pace of play which averaged almost 30 minutes a hole! Had to wait between every hole and shot as well. Disgusting for $95. Only good part was my scorecard because it’s an easy course.
