About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Great value
Really nothing bad i can say about this course. First time i played here was in early spring and it was green. This time (mid-summer), still green. For $60 to ride, you can’t go wrong.
Nice experience
It has been a while since the last time I played this course and we were very happy that we did, this time. The fairways and greens were is great shape, the tee boxes could use some work. The best part of the experience, was the ability to get a morning tee time on a weekend!

NO WAIT, DAY WAS GREAT
Tee off 9:10, group in front movin and we outpaced group behind us. Greens on front a little soft,firmed up in back. Plenty of deer kickin it under trees.

Excellent course
Great time playing, amazing shade for the California summers. Greens are great. Im coming back soon. So far its my favorite course for the reasonable cost.

Fun Challenging course
Every tee is different; with challenging fairways to get to the very challenging putting greens. with beautiful Scenery. Great course makes you feel to play another 18 holes. Thanks to all the staff.

Great Course and Scenery!
Really enjoyed the round here. Driving range was open Sunday morning, but faces east, so a little hard to see the ball warming up (not a compliant, just an observation). Practice putting greens are nice, carts are standard. Course layout was a ton of fun, rolling though the hills of the canyon with a lot of altitude changes. Some were bordering on completely blind shots, but nothing impossible or non-enjoyable. As others have likely mentioned, expect to see a lot of deer out here, which was a nice touch. Overall had a great round and will definitely return if i can find another accommodating tee time.

Nice, affordable course
Course is fun and well maintained. Beautiful location. Pace of play was great mid-week, but I can see it grinding to a halt if you get stuck behind some yahoos—since they don’t seem to have the staff to be enforcing pace, and the course is so affordable you’re gonna get a lot of people who don’t care about how slow they play. (We eventually caught up to a group that moved at a glacial pace and spent a ton of time hunting for errant balls and taking mulligans, but we had already sped through much of the course so it was ok.)

Pace of Play
Tee time 11am and we only had a threesome finished 18 at 4:30. Waiting after every hole which was the case for everyone in front and behind us. Think they pack to many tee times which slows the overall pace. Also, range was closed due to the range balls not being picked up.

Pace of play
6+ hours to play a round is ridiculous. No marshals telling people to pick up their pace. People playing from champion tees that only hit it 150. 4 players on green taking their time on a 1 foot putt. This is why I stop golfing certain courses. If this doesn’t improve I won’t go here anymore.
