About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Greens
I'm sorry but the greens were bad . They were not flat or smooth . I t felt like I putting across an old washboard or railroad ties . They were bouncing all over and felt like they were doing the bunny hops . It looks like there were different type of grass on the greens . As usual nobody cares about fixing their divots on the greens

Greens were terrible! One looked like it just been air rated weeks ago! Muddy, patchy, and terrible bunkers! Guy working window acted like he did me a favor giving me a small bucket for free! Even though it says it's part of the tee reservation! Probably won't ever book again!

Staff frieniness and not on same page
The guy sold me range balls. Called me early. Didnt refund it. told me i could park the cart on the edge of range but the cashier yelled at me. I dont pay money to get scolded by a young cashier punk. i dont buy range balls to warm up and then get called early. The marahall was cool though. Other than that it was pretty fun. Putting green were were very challenging but a bit bumpy. Bring your putting A game.

Course condition
The course needs reseeding. Too many bad spots in the fairway.

White tail deer roam the course. That was interesting. Other than that, course is in pretty poor condition.

1st time at Marshall Canyon
I really enjoyed the layout of the course, not long but several dog legs and lots of elevation changes. It was a windy and chilly day in the mid 50’s, I’d like to return when the weather is a little better. Really nice setting high in the canyon with good views all around. Great value and well maintained, I’ll definitely be back.

Fairways are patchy but mostly green. Some of the greens were a little bumpy but overall a fun course

Great Course for the money
Great challenging course, requires you to be on your game. Greens are sloped like crazy so be diligent with your putts!

A shorter course. I think it would be a good practice course for me to come alone once in awhile. There were flock of deer which was different. The condition of grass was more towards to poor. The service at the office was not bad but was just whatever. I would not recommend to anyone but ad mentioned earlier, I may return for practice myself

Marshall Canyon
I consider this my home course. Love playing this course. It can be a bit challenging at times but it is always a good time. Driving range is small but never too crowded.
