About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Needs some work
This is my home course. I essentially learned how to play the game here so, I will always have a sense of loyalty to MC. However, their prices went up during the last year and it's been so busy that it's much harder to get a tee time than it has ever been. That makes sense but, the course is in the worst shape I've ever seen it. At least half the tee boxes are either overgrown or horribly unlevel and the fairways are in very poor shape. I shouldn't be hitting off of bare ground or clumps of grass when I'm in the middle of the fairway. They are spending a ton of money right now on the clubhouse which can't even be used because of Covid, instead of fixing the tee boxes and the fairways. All of this is causing me to paly there a lot less often than I have over the last few years.

A bit challenged but not too difficult

A Mountain Gem
A beautiful mountainous track set amidst scenic and mature woodlands where deer concregate by the dozens. Even the occasional Bob Cat has been known to race past. Greens are extreme on a few holes here and definitely challenging on most holes. Fairways are green and beautiful. All in all.....A Great friend, a day of Golf and Marshall Canyon......”It doesn’t get better than that!

Side of the mountain
The fairways are mostly all slanted. The course layout is at the foot of the mountain so there is a 15-20 degree slant on most fairways. Greens were nice and soft. Challenging greens but all good. A LOT OF DEER. So much they were chasing the coyotes around.

Very Fun Course w/ Beautiful Scenery
Marshall Cyn is a fun course for all level of players. Amazing mountains and wildlife. Greens are very tricky for anyone who isn’t familiar with their hard to read breaks. I’d play here daily!

Marshall is one of the best courses that I get to play in the inland empire. The greens are always in great shape but be careful bc they are very challenging. Can’t wait to play again.

Greens
I'm sorry but the greens were bad . They were not flat or smooth . I t felt like I putting across an old washboard or railroad ties . They were bouncing all over and felt like they were doing the bunny hops . It looks like there were different type of grass on the greens . As usual nobody cares about fixing their divots on the greens
