Enjoyable round

Booked round via Golfnow and paid £11.99 as opposed to £15 if I had paid direct. Temporary reception was closed when I arrived and didn’t see any one official during my round. Course was dry but winter greens on all holes as greens looked as if they were being treated. Very quiet, only saw three other people playing. Sunny, but cold. Enjoyable round!

Stunning Course

I only recently started playing Callander again for the first time in many years, and wow! The course is in great condition, with better drainage, bunkers being revamped and fairways are so clean looking. Lots of challenges throughout, and requires well planned shots, even for big hitters. Par 3 15th is one of my favorite holes I've ever played, it's iconic. Currently lacking a clubhouse, but I know that is on the way soon. The difference between when I first played Callander and now is massive. Any golfer in the area or passing through should definitely spend a few hours on this course.

Best condition for years

It’s great to see the course in such good condition - the best it’s been in for many years. It’s the best course in the area by a distance. The new clubhouse will take it to another level.

Enjoyable

Enjoyable round of golf at Callander whilst my wife went shopping. Very quiet, only saw 4 other golfers during my round. Course wet but otherwise in good condition.

Loner

Booked online but was surprised that I had the course to myself, since there were no Office staff and only a couple of greens staff due to major refurbishment works. Very wet in places but perfectly playable overall

Callander GC

Unfortunately course was very wet due to the amount of rain we've had lately, clubhouse is out of use so they are working out of a large storage container. Staff member we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Callander is a lovely course, well worth playing but stay out of the bunkers as they are not in great condition. Overall well worth a visit.

What Amenities & Greetings

Wow wow, only in Scotland,my mate and myself have played all over(Glasgow home town), Scotland, but sadly,we have to say this is the Worsted for Amenities ever,no clubhouse,no pro,no score cards etc,no toilets. The course is fab,the 15th hole a must for the bucket list.Their is money to be made at this establishment with catering/clubhouse etc, what they need is a good strong committee with the right outlook,But sadly on the day we visited it was not to be seen, such a shame.I give it 3years and it will be houses.Thomas P Martin

Can't beat it for money

Course is in great condition considering the weather we have been having. greens are consistent looks great if you have never played this course it is a wee gem even though there are many par threes it is a tricky course big shots required for some holes hopefully they will get new clubhouse built as the original one was understandably not viable financially to maintain , requiring major renovation. As a former member I will be enquiring about a new membership even before the new clubhouse gets built

Disappointed

After travelling an hour to get there we found the course open but clubhouse closed . No opportunity to use a toilet not able to even buy juice or even collect a scorecard for the round. The course is lovely and great views but poor that no one even there to offer basic services upon arrival .

Course great as always, but played alongside my Wife and when we arrived temporary portakabin was closed, it was 11.30am !! and my Wife needed to use the bathroom so basically had to play 18 holes feeling very uncomfortable !! Can't really give staff a review as there weren't any present ?

C'mon Callander having no toilet facilities is really not acceptable !!!

Wow - superb value

The course is in excellent condition and the greens staff should be commended for the excellent work they have done over the past few years. Callander is set in stunning scenery with many interesting and challenging holes. Greens are relatively small and the layout was designed by Old Tom Morris so bring a good short game to score well, There is a temporary club house and marquee at present as the club is in the process of building a new club house but if you are coming for great scenery, a great course and great value, this is where you want to come. If you par (or even birdie) the short par 3 15th, you have done well as the tee shot is one of the most challenging there is.

Solid course. Poor layout.

Course is of decent condition however the greens could use more care. The course layout has you doubling back on yourself constantly to get to the tee boxes and teeing off over greens. Plenty of different challenges and hole shapes but only one par 5 and it gets repetitive on the par 3s. There is a point where you play 3 or 4 par 3s in a row.

For the price however, well worth it.
