Golfer Reviews
Great views.
Lovely setting. Some long par 3s and short par 4s. Visitors restricted to yellow tees which made course really short. Greens were heavily sanded and with the lack of growth due to early frost in April. No facilities at all as they are about to build s new facility. Great for a leisurely game.
Stunner!
Stunning scenery!
Brilliant course...... even though I didnt play well I still appreciated it. Every hole a challenge, great layout...... just a great wee course really!
Callander Golf Club
Played today as a four ball. Course was devoid of any signs of life as we’d heard the clubhouse and grounds were now private property so very little governance in place.
Course conditions were great with only 1 winter green on, despite expecting a cold morning and some hard ground. A tough wee test for the average golfer, some holes saying Par 3 yet my Garmin saying Par 4. Hole 7 was a doozy, no idea where you were going with a blind par 3 made it interesting for me.
Great value for money but would recommend getting out early morning, busy and we were held up for 7/8 holes by a 2 ball in front of us. Not ideal but we still managed a sub 80, 2 sub 90s and a complete 18 in just over 3 hours.
Would recommend to visitors looking for a nice course layout and a challenge with your wedge game.
Great Course
Thought this course was really good, nice and tidy and looked after, I wasn't expecting the course to be immaculate but it was in better condition that i expected especially as we're only just into April, will definitely be going back
Course layout was good with paths easily set out from greens to tees. Greens were in very poor condition. No toilet facilities open. First time playing and will probably be my last.
Spiked and sanded
Greens were in process of being spiked and sanded, so very unpredictable.
Pace was slow with several waits and no invitation to play through.
Friday tour at callender on a saturday
Scenery superb greens in decent nick for early season. Winter tees but thats to be expected. 6 of us everyone loved it be back in the summer
LET DOWN THIS TIME
Played here a few times in the past normally good value for money however on this particular occasion was rather disappointed as all greens were off and all tees were winter tees or mats this was not highlighted when booking so what is normally a good day out was a massive let down.. as a regular user of the golf now app may I suggest that situations like the aforementioned should be made clear when booking as this may well put fellow golfers off using the app.
Lovely wee course
Thoroughly enjoyed our round. The course was wet underfoot and there were some temporary greens but the green fee reflected this. Definitely coming back in the summer!
