Known locally as "Carmuirs," Falkirk Golf Club is a parkland layout with slight undulation. It's a 6,230-yard par-71 course from the back tees.

Falkirk will undergo a significant renovation in the coming years. David J. Russell, a PGA Professional and golf course architect, has made several recommendations on improving the layout that will be incorporated into the course.

New practice facilities have also been added: four practice bays, a practice putting green and "short game" area for pitching and bunker play. A fully-stocked pro shop is on site, managed by resident professional Stewart Craig.

Excellent Course

Played this just before the Scotland v England game to try and relieve some tension. Great course. Played a few years back when it was getting some work done and didn’t see it at it’s best. Greens in superb condition, course layout very varied however be aware of the variety of ditches and water hazards before you play, easy to hit a good shot and then think….ah should have clubbed down! Great finishing hole aswell. Would highly recommend.

Lovely Greens

My brother and I played on a Friday afternoon. The starter kindly let us go as we were early. Tees were good as were the fairways. Greens were excellent running true and good pace, much better than the more expensive courses I played the weeks before. My only request would be to put more signs up on where to go to play the next hole as we had to try and keep up with a single player in front so we knew where to go next.

Nice, tidy course. Good value for money.

Driven by this course on several occasions and when I saw it on GolfNow, I thought I'd give it a go. Glad I did. Nice tidy course which is challenging but not impossible for a high handicapper like me. Maybe it was just me, but the back nine seemed to be nicer to play than the front. Good value for what we paid and would definitely play here again

Excellent Test

Was warmly welcomed as visitors

Parkland course with plenty trees and a water course running through many of the holes

Early season so could do with a bit of growth but greens were good

I would say this course is testing but fair

Would definitely recommend

Disappointed

I expected the course to be in better condition, many of the fairways were bare with no growth (over cut) .the greens were in poor condition and behind on routine maintenance a couple of them the cutters had ripped the surface . The tees were also in poor condition and as we were playing of yellows it looked as if the had never been repositioned all year loads of divots barely any grass. Garbage bins at tees were full of rubbish which was lying around them also this was at various tees . I also noticed a couple of manholes on the fairways where the ground around them was a mess and could easily be sorted.

There are numerous drainage ditches to avoid around the course and the areas around and into the ditches was unkept and in poor condition.

Nice course in good condition

Haven't played here for over 20yrs and worth the discounted rates and in good condition considering the weather and time of year.

Disappointed to be informed on arrival the first 4 holes were out of play due to tree cutting (never saw any work going on but explains the cheap rate) so first tee was the 5th but the starter kindly let us play the 5th-8th again after coming off the 18th to make up our card.

Lot of variety in layout, good mix of long/short and blind holes, quite busy for time of year and bit wet in places but overall would recommend and like to return.

Nice golf course

First time playing Falkirk GC, friendly staff and a nice course layout with views of the Falkirk wheel. The course isn’t overly long with the par 5’s being reachable in 2 which made it enjoyable for me.
