Linlithgow Golf Club
About
Above Scotland's Royal Burgh town of Linlithgow sits the Linlithgow Golf Club, featuring 18 holes amid farmland and hills, and views of the Ochil Hills, Union Canal and Forth Valley. It's about midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The golf course measures 5,863 yards - short enough to not do too much damage to the legs, long enough to require well-planned golf shots.
A round of golf at the Linlithgow Golf Club kicks off on Drambuie, a par-4 333-yard hole that plays short and straight, with a fairway that slopes down with minimal hazards. Things get increasingly tougher: By Deli's Dio, the ninth hole, you're looking at a long par 4, measuring 420 yards. The 18th, Union Canal, is another long par 4, measuring 413 yards, where you'll need to shoot a short carry over a ravine to reach an undulating tree-lined fairway - there's that canal, too, to keep things interesting.
The Linlithgow Golf Club clubhouse offers a lounge and restaurant for dinner, drinks, lunch and snacks.

Great fun and challenging test of golf
I played here in september 2025. Played before but I always enjoy this course. Greens were good and course in good condition. Super views and lots of fun hole. Definitely recommend it!
A good challenge
Some interesting holes and some quirky ones. In very good condition, especially the greens.
Great value
This is a fun course to play , a few hills , a few doglegs , quite a lot of trees but definitely enjoyable and we will be back
Great course and views
Great course and challenging some cracking views. I would say this is more for experienced golfers no beginners.
Linlithgow Golf Club
Greens in perfect condition. Friendly staff in pro shop.
Excellent course needing a bit of TLC
Loved playing this course although the first nine tests your stamina with the hills. The views are spectacular as you near the top. Interesting with two par 3s together and the only par 5s one after the other. The seventeenth hole I could have hit shots at all day. Loved it. Will certainly play again.
Linlithgow golf course
Great mornings golf at a challenging course especially more-so due to the very warm weather.
Surprised at how hilly this course was but pleasantly surprised as it certainly made your game exciting.
Hats off to the green keepers as the course was in great condition.
Was made feel very welcome by all members of staff
Can honestly say it was excellent value for money and will definitely play here again in the near future.

Will definetly be back again
Great course
Enjoyed a great game of golf on a challenging yet fair course. The green keepers have done a fantastic job maintaining the greens.
Good course tricky holes. If I played again I would choose different shots. Definitely would play again.
Saturday Bounce
Course was in fairly good condition, green whacky been cut so were fairly slow but nice and green. Tee boxes were a little uneven and also needing a cut/tidy up.
Linlithgow
Course condition not 100% despite lots dry weather. Tees were quite poor greens mot bad and fairways quite lush in places. Starter office staff well less than friendly pretty unhelpful really but not issue as we knew the script there but certainly not good impression for visitors. Never used restaurant facilities so cannot comment. Course really quiet teed off after 1400.
