Friendly Fun Course
Great value, course was in brilliant condition and very welcoming. The Pro talked us through the course layout and made us feel at home. Some cracking holes, we will be back!
Golf at Kilsyth lennox
Good course but a few hill walks between holes, the 14, 15, 16th are a climb,
Immaculate fairways and good greens with hard pin placements (not a straight putt to be found)
All in all good course worth playing if your fit enough or hiring buggy
Fantastic greens and value for money
Greens were in top condition credit to the ground staff
Cheeky Midweek play
Booked this course as it was on the list of courses within a 30 mile radius of my home (not many left on the list). The course itself is a little off the beaten track but worth the adventure. A little hilly so not for those who prefer flat terrain it may be a challenge. Course management is a must unless you are a big hitter but everyone will find a challenge at most of holes. Worth a visit and played worse courses for much more money!!
Great course for the money.
Greens are in great condition, Tees are flat, approaches are well maintained, most fairways are very lush but a few are sparse. Clubhouse was closed at 1.30 before round without notice upon booking and still closed at 5.30 after round. Other than that very worth the money and will definitely visit again.
Greens
Don’t waste your money ! We paid £18 each to play Kilsyth yesterday . The course was sodden and the greens hadn’t been switched to clear the moisture , so putting was impossible at every hole . The greens looked ok but because they were covered in moisture it spoiled the whole round . I did send an email to the course admin , but no reply . Waste of time and money I won’t be back
Kilsyth lennox
A poor re iew from me due to having arthritis in my knees I struggled with how elevated the corse was whi h by my own admission should have known this the course condition was excellent for time of year would I play again yes but not walking would hire a buggy as it is a great course layout
Great course.
Great course in my opinion.. the layout was great!!
Amazing views from all over the course. Moday afternoon so it was quiet. Only thing I would say is the club house was closed for a pint afterwords. 🤣 fully understood the time of year and a monday afternoon. Will return and taking up a membership to support a local club..
Fun country course
We played here on a Friday afternoon, it was really quiet with just a few members playing. Lost a lot of balls in the long grass on the edge of the fairways. There is a decent and often uphill walk between some holes but on well prepared paths, plus many fairways are on a slope. Still an enjoyable game with many practice shot opportunities. Nice views from the course towards Glasgow. Enjoyed a toastie in the clubhouse after the game,
Nice Welcome: Challenging Course:
Nice Welcome from Lady Starter & Cooper the Dog. Asked if we had played course before and asked if we needed or wanted to know anything the course, shown where to start and asked to play from sides or of mats(usual winter rules on most courses). Course was in good=condition but maybe just a bit wet(Given the weather lately this was no surprise). The course is somewhat challenging and quite hilly and sometimes a little bit of a walk between greens to Tees, however the views particularly at top of course are stunning, the greens themselves were in fairly good conditions and had been tined lately(a bit surprising that all greens were actually on) a cunning stream meanders throughout the course strategically affecting play on some of the holes. We absolutely loved the challenge of this course and ball loses were minimal. The fairways were quite wide and open but strategic shots were required here and there. As we were walking around we met one of the greenkeepers who again was very affable and asked us if we were enjoying our round and agreed with us about how challenging the course was. Quite a lot of work was going on e.g. more drainage etc.(always a sign that the course is cared for).
In summary: Very good welcome, Long Hilly and challenging course, good condition for time of year, good playable greens in general a very good day out.
Craterlville
Played during the winter period so mats and winter greens are expected but the overall condition was terrible! Greens looked like the surface of the moon! Definitely not worth the money, walked off after 9 holes.
I must've played a different course from the other reviews 😂
Cratorvil
Course was in terrible condition and not due to the time of year. Walked off after 9.
Appalling experience
I would like to bring to your attention the awful experience that I had with my son on Saturday 11th of November as a visitor to your club.
I had booked a tee off time for 12pm via the golf now app as I have done for many other courses without issue. When I arrived with my 16 year old son we were told by the pro shop that I had no booking despite showing them the attached booking screenshot which I enclose for your perusal. After much discussion I was advised to just go up to the first tee and proceed for the 12pm slot. Having stood at the top awaiting the 11.50 slot t off I was approached by 3 members who said they were due off at 12pm and that they are playing and were quite abrasive and threatening to me in front of my son who was emotionally upset by their behaviour and aggression. I had shown them my booking via golf now but they told me they couldn’t care less about the booking as they were already booked for 12.
This simply is unacceptable behaviour from members and this whole episode should and could have been avoided if the booking system was fit for purpose however double booking visitors and then having to put them into a situation where we felt threatened was completely unacceptable. This was the first time I brought my son to the club as a treat and had planned to go into the clubhouse for some food after our round but were in no mood to hang about as our day was completely ruined by this experience.
Enjoyable!!
Played 1st time with my cousin,we both really enjoyed the course ,few hills so next time I'll be hiring a buggy I think, fairways were in great condition ,also the greens immaculate.. we enjoyed mostly the challenging holes over the burns or pond. Its well mapped out which helps alot, Would defo play this course again and will be looking to in near future.
Great course
Course was liking great, greens were challenging in the best way, a good couple of holes where you need to make a decision if driver is the best option off the tee.
