Course Requiring Attention

Playing in the last week in April and the course was still partly in winter colours, temporary tees, rough uncut greens, hard unraked bunkers short of sand, 2 temporary greens and a lot of muddy patches on the fairways. In the rough there was an abundance of unraked leaves, small branches and other debris which has not been removed after the winter storms. Altogether a course not being looked after and in disrepair. The professional shop was also shut and did not look occupied. Very disappointing because the course has a good layout and a while ago was a very good course.

The clubhouse looked also a bit forlorn and could not provide us with a meal on a Friday evening.

The course was so wet. It didn't have much rain this week however every step on this golf course ended with a squelch.

To charge £25 per golfer is pretty mad.

All personnel in front of us made us wait to play through. With no gold etiquette, it was really poor to see. Pace of play was 4 hour + round from a fairly short course.

I would request my friend and I to have a full refund.

First time - winger conditions

First time playing course, winter greens in play. Lack of info of course conditions on website. Other courses able to give live updates on conditions. Multiple waterlogged holes. Some holes closed with no clear signage on how to access next hole. As winter greens in play it wasn’t also obvious where the next hole started. Staff really friendly and helpful. This would be a great summer course and will be back when the weather is better.

Great course. Hughes recommended

Great course to go round, would highly recommend. The fairways and greens are well kept considering the weather we have had. Would happily play there again.

A great course that’s not the same anymore

I played this course a lot the past few years and I always thought this was a great course but it has went really downhill this year but got so much more expensive, it used to be great value for money, even probably cheaper for the quality it used to be. Now it’s £40 and it’s not even worth half of that with the condition of most of the fairways and the greens, it’s really sad to see as I really liked this course over the last few years, the staff are still great but the course has fell off a cliff.

The course itself was good, had a few interesting holes. The members we spoke to were all really friendly.

Some greens on the front 9 weren’t in great condition though

We were charged £40, and had to play off fairway mats, which I thought was pretty steep. No mention of this when we booked, just told at the starters hut. Thought at that price; we would not be playing under winter conditions.

Not great value for money.

Downhill!!

Ex member, and thought to jump up and play it since not been in a whilst, always says the track has always been a good layout but young people obv using it as a place to gather and drink also the conditions are not the best considering its £35 a pop to play it. Staff in pro shop awere superb. But this is a course that has went downhill majorly hence why a lot of member left.
