Braes Golf Centre

Played first time on a Friday afternoon and it was quiet. Allowed this beginner to play a few mulligans! Off the yellow tees it felt like a reasonably long course, particularly for a beginner. I’m sure after playing a few times you would get used to it but having two sets of tees for each hole (1-9 and then 10-18) was a bit confusing and it wasn’t always the easiest to find the right tee, although when I was there, there was a super friendly green keeper who kept me right

Working away in Falkirk the sun is out so why not try this great little course. Good for all abilities and in good condition!

Played nine holes last month and with the lighter nights took advantage and played 18 this time and loved it.

Course layout really isn’t the best, not that easy to navigate and can be confusing if you’ve never played there before with the 9/18 hole layout with different tee boxes. The fairways were in a pretty terrible state with drainage trenches everywhere and some of the greens weren’t great. The groundskeeper seems like he is doing his best to get the course into a good condition and it has improved since I played there last year. Could do with some signs directing you towards the right tee box for the next hole etc.

Great little course booked on spur of the moment as in Scotland on business and had clubs in the car. Friendly staff will play here again!

Taking your drive and ball plugged into ground with how soft it was due to drainage issues, puddles ankle deep all over fairway only managed 2 holes before leaving. Head to toe covered in mud state of play was shocking should never have been open to play.

No place to clean shoes etc either.

Phoned golf now to get refund and due to no one in clubhouse no one answered the phone so I was told no refund available due to no one answering.

Course is a nightmare would not £ 5 to play here ,greens horrendous club not open looks deserted and no wonder

Fantastic layout, very well kept fast greens. Owner was very nice and advised of the big plans coming next year. Far too quiet of a course it deserves to be much busier!

I never like to leave a poor review however this course was so disappointing and I played it based on its 5 star review! The tee boxes are poorly kept, the fairways and greens were terrible ( I did play end of season though) and the layout is clumsy and difficult to navigate. There are a few holes that are ok but nothing justifies the cost per round.

Braes Golf Centre is a great course in the Falkirk Area. Friendly members and staff and good facilities in the clubhouse. Easy course to navigate although some challenging holes.
