Oatridge Golf Course is a nine-hole course that was opened in 2000 by former Ryder Cup Captain Bernard Gallacher. The golf course is located at Oatridge Agricultural College.

The golf course is set among gently rolling parkland by the village of Ecclesmachan. It has a number of water hazards and mature trees.

Confusing layout

The course itself was nice in good condition. Greens were well maintained. The layout was a bit confusing and a real lack of directional signs didn’t help.

When we came off the 4th we turned and followed the course back up and that turned out to be the 7th so we missed out on the 5th and 6th. Obviously knowing this if I was to play again, this wouldn’t happen but a sign with an arrow for next tee box would really have helped.

Fantastic 9 hole course

Highly recommend this beautiful 9 hole course. Despite the dry weather the fairways and Greens were in excellent condition and most holes are interesting.
