About
Riverside Golf Course is located on the northwest side of Janesville near the Rock River. Opened in 1924, it is one of the oldest courses in the area and over the years it has earned the reputation of being one of southern Wisconsin's best public courses. The course has also been recognized as one of the 50 best public golf values in the country. The gently rolling hills of the landscape provide the course with rolling, tree-lined fairways and large, undulating greens, which are framed by strategically placed bunkers. Riverside is a challenging course but not so difficult that beginners should be intimidated. The classic layout is quite forgiving and versatile enough for a range of skill levels, one reason why it is the host to the Ray Fischer Tournament, one of the Midwest's most prestigious amateur events.

Interesting Course
Is an interesting course. However had issues with course maintenance being done during play, slowing pace of play, also had plenty of wild life all over (more deer then I could count), which made me even more leary of the tall well overgrown rough, and the potential of other wildlife (especially snakes) that you may not see if you hit a stray shot and decide to search for your ball. Tee boxes were fantastic, fairways and greens were in good condition, due to recent rain many bunkers were like small ponds. However, as the usual, once you get past the 9th here, your pretty much by yourself for the back 9.
Great Father's Day
Me and my son's played Riverside on Father's Day. They are re-doing the sand bunker complexes, but the rest of the course was wonderful. Mature trees and wide fairways and not overly long. Very playable.
Great Course
1st time ever playing here. Some construction going on several holes and there were 3 temp greens the day we played. Beautiful course. Had a blast playing with my son on a beautiful day. Try this place out if you haven’t!
Bad day playing
The last 2 times I have played there was not good. Unfortunately I really like this course but some of the golfers they are getting need to learn the rules of golf making for a bad experience and that was the last time I will play there
Overpriced. Many better courses s that are cheaper or the same price in the area.
Riverside Janesville Wi
We really enjoyed the layout. The back nine seemed like an entirely different course from the front. A lot of blind shots to the green which makes it very interesting for a first time player.
1 Week Left To Play
Course has it's challenges. It's well taken care of, and it is in great shape for the end of the season.
Like I remembered
Hadn't played here in decades. This is the course I started playing on as a kid. Very little has changed and that is a really good thing! Fiance just started playing and she loved this course.
