About
Riverside Golf Course is located on the northwest side of Janesville near the Rock River. Opened in 1924, it is one of the oldest courses in the area and over the years it has earned the reputation of being one of southern Wisconsin's best public courses. The course has also been recognized as one of the 50 best public golf values in the country. The gently rolling hills of the landscape provide the course with rolling, tree-lined fairways and large, undulating greens, which are framed by strategically placed bunkers. Riverside is a challenging course but not so difficult that beginners should be intimidated. The classic layout is quite forgiving and versatile enough for a range of skill levels, one reason why it is the host to the Ray Fischer Tournament, one of the Midwest's most prestigious amateur events.

Fun course
Riverside was a fun course. Challenging
Many dog legs left and right and a unique par 3.
Riverside in Janesville
Mature course with lots of beautiful trees. Variety of holes. Played 18 in 3 hours. Very friendly staff.
One player didn’t show because something happened.
Called after finishing play but wasn’t refunded for 1 pass with cart. Sad
very nice course and a good challenge for average golfers. Navigation around the coutse was a bit confusing. better hole direction signs would help ne
Better hole/tee box directions signs would help new players. Overall a very nice experience amd hope to play it again soon.
Riverside
I love this golf course. The layout and challenge are great. I've played here many times over the years and will play there again this year before mother nature turns the lights out on the season. My only complaint I have are the bunkers. There is little to no sand in them, it's like hitting off of concrete.

This is only my 2nd time playing this course, even though I grew up in Janesville I didn''t golf then. 1st time here was years ago.
The course is in great shape. There was a scramble going on so they had me play the back 9 twice. Played the whites the first 9 and the blues the 2nd. Was a great day to be out on the Course.

What can I say about this course? It's my favorite golf course to play, I'm slighty biased. I've played there many times over the years, as I'm from the area. It's real hard to complain about anything at this golf course. There is one thing that I will complain about today, the bunkers. I know i should even be in them but those bunkers have little to no sand in them. The sand that is in there is rock hard. You're hitting off of black dirt in some of them, they need alot of work.
