About
Riverside Golf Course is located on the northwest side of Janesville near the Rock River. Opened in 1924, it is one of the oldest courses in the area and over the years it has earned the reputation of being one of southern Wisconsin's best public courses. The course has also been recognized as one of the 50 best public golf values in the country. The gently rolling hills of the landscape provide the course with rolling, tree-lined fairways and large, undulating greens, which are framed by strategically placed bunkers. Riverside is a challenging course but not so difficult that beginners should be intimidated. The classic layout is quite forgiving and versatile enough for a range of skill levels, one reason why it is the host to the Ray Fischer Tournament, one of the Midwest's most prestigious amateur events.

A Bit Early To Be Aerating Greens
It seemed a bit early for the greens to have been aerated. Impossible to putt well with the ball bouncing on its way to the hole. In my experience most courses aerate their greens in the Fall. It's still late Summer.
Little gem
Played it for the first time today. It was just aerated, so we all know that’s a bummer. I will be back to play this several times. It’s not an incredibly long track but if you’re not accurate off the tee you’ll be in for a long day. Staff was friendly,, course was in good shape, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. Bring your bunker A game, you’ll probably need it!

Great Course
Riverside is a great course to play. They could use a little more cracking down for pace of play. 18 holes took us 6 hours. Also lady at the check in desk is not friendly at all. For working there for so long she should know how to treat paying customers.
Should not allow 5 some & 6 some scramblers on a Saturday morning. Front 9 took over 2 1/2 hours.

Fathers day fun
First time playing this course and was very pleased. The fairways are in great shape. The greens are fast and roll smooth. Would love to return and play again.
