About
Riverside Golf Course is located on the northwest side of Janesville near the Rock River. Opened in 1924, it is one of the oldest courses in the area and over the years it has earned the reputation of being one of southern Wisconsin's best public courses. The course has also been recognized as one of the 50 best public golf values in the country. The gently rolling hills of the landscape provide the course with rolling, tree-lined fairways and large, undulating greens, which are framed by strategically placed bunkers. Riverside is a challenging course but not so difficult that beginners should be intimidated. The classic layout is quite forgiving and versatile enough for a range of skill levels, one reason why it is the host to the Ray Fischer Tournament, one of the Midwest's most prestigious amateur events.

Great value
The course is great for any skill level. I also forget clubs a lot and the staff learns who you are so it's not a hassle to get help getting em back.
Hard to Not Love This Course
Riverside is one of the top public courses in Wisconsin. I've played a lot of them, and it's real gem.
Great local course
Although this was my first time play5 this course I was impressed. The greens where in great shape and ran true and fast. Staff was very helpful and would play again when I am in town.
Unique Holes with Design Variety
I last played this course about 35-40 years ago. Still in great condition with hole variety. My only concern was that the greens were rather bumpy and slow.
