Dating back to 1891, when the original inspection of the land was conducted for Braehead Golf Club, the course is a par 70 measuring 6,053 yards. The club prides itself on its friendliness, claiming to be the domain of ordinary working men and women.
The golf course at Braehead is filled with a variety of challenging holes offering wonderful vistas of the surrounding landscape. It's one of the best tests of golf in the area, but remains friend to both seasoned and amateur golfer alike.

Great condition!
Course is in great condition, only downfall was 1 winter green and the tee boxes were well used
First visit in 50 years
Couldn't miss the chance to play my childhood course 50 years after my last visit.
Course was in really good condition for the time of year, assisted my mats on the fairway and semi.
Greens really fast, and running extremely true.
Small saplings from yesteryear are now robust trees, giving good definition to many of the holes.
A thoroughly enjoyable round of golf on a really good course, that has undoubtedly improved with age.
Would absolutely recommend everyone to try this course.
Game of golf
Really enjoyed the course. The team was welcoming and helpful. We did get stuck behind a 3 ball that wouldn't let us through which was frustrating. How ever after the game spoke to the guys infant of us and found out they were playing to get a handy cap so didn't make a fuss of it..
All in all really happy with the course and will be coming back.
Great course
Most holes are interesting good to play some courses have 2 or 3 stand out holes this had a dozen and the others were pretty good also course was in great nick greens were challenging but true
We played it the week before for first time enjoyed it that much that came back 1 week later play was slow both times but it was Wednesday and the had competitions and a medal on

I had an excellent time at Braehead, really good value, in good condition and an interesting layout. I'd greatly recommend for visitors to the area
Little Gem
Challenging course with magnificent scenery. Fairways were well maintained and greens immaculate. Some very tricky par 3s. Altogether a great 18 hole course that I would highly recommend will definitely return
Braehead Golf Club Experience
Played here with my wife for the first time and had a great day. The staff on site were very friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to play early to avoid the medal being played on the same day. Although the course was busy we found all the members to be very friendly and relaxed. The layout of the course is lovely and in very good condition. I will definitely play again and wholeheartedly recommend the course to anyone who is interested.
Excellant course fairways and greens in great condition.
Great Course
Really enjoyed this course. Considering the amount of rain we've had the course was in remarkably good condition. Very interesting mix of holes and lovely par 3s. The greens were also in incredibly good condition given the time of year.
The staff I met were very friendly and helpful, didn't use the clubhouse but the pro shop looks good. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the course and will be back in the summer to play it at its peak.
Good course but next to zero guidance
I enjoyed the golf on this beautiful course that has so much potential. 2nd course in 10 days with next to no guidance for visitors I.e. no scorecard (pro shop shut) or map; nothing on tees re distance or shape of hole; and a number of holes closed but no markings or warnings this. Really frustrating
