Just lovely

The course looked lovely. The catering was adequate & staff friendly. The other players using the course were friendly & courteous to those of us for whom it was the first time.

A varied parkland course with magnificent views.

Older players might find some of the hills in the mid part of the round hard work.

Braehead Alloa

The golf course was in very good condition with the scenery as a fantastic backdrop.Tees were a bit tardy, fairways were excellent and the greens in good condition although local knowledge of borrows on greens a big advantage. My advice play to putt from below the hole would give you a chance as borrows could be severe. An excellent test using most clubs in the bag on a wonderful ,tricky course. Thorougjly enjoyed the beautiful scenery with Ben Lomond in the distance.Glad we have played here.

Memories

Hit my first ever golf shot on this course over 40 years ago. Youth membership was 7 pounds. Course was in excellent condition. Back 9 have improved beyond. Recognition. The 8th for me is the best par 3 in Clackmannanshire. Not been at Braehead for years. Will be back soon.

First time at Braehead Golf Club

Paid £13 for green fees, compared with £20 as a visitor. Quick welcoming chat in the club house and was informed could play off as I wanted. For as early in the season the course is in great condition, greens almost fully recovered from early season plugging, yet still putted true.

Was a bit on the windy side, not the courses fault, but this certainly made some of the par 3’s hard. One of which is cruel to have is such that it all goes left if you are a little off and it runs in to heavy rough, come on give us a chance.

The course starts flat, then gently climbs in the middle and finishes flat. Made for a welcome first game in 9 months.

Will 100% be coming back.
