Where do I start? The course was in surprisingly better condition than I expected, and I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised!

The greens were actually pretty decent, better than some recent courses I’d played for a much higher premium, although a few were a bit sandy and gritty in places. The rough was an absolute pain in the butt. Miss the fairway by a couple of yards and suddenly you’re on a hunt trying to locate your ball.

Towards the bottom end of the front nine, there was quite a bit of standing water, and unfortunately, litter was scattered across much of the course, which was disappointing to see. Clearly, the local weekend drinking enthusiasts aren’t too concerned about keeping the place tidy.

Speaking of the local wildlife, a group of wee neds decided to make an appearance and treat everyone to an impromptu fireworks display. In broad daylight, might I add. One firework came dangerously close to two golfers, who genuinely had to run out of the way. A few more followed, just in case anyone thought they’d accidentally booked a peaceful afternoon of golf.

I actually had a pleasant round. The course exceeded my expectations, especially considering how little I paid. It’s certainly not going to host The Open anytime soon, but for a cheap round of golf, you could do a lot worse.

Decent greens, friendly staff, challenging rough, a bit of casual littering and the occasional artillery strike. What’s not to love? I’d happily play it again, preferably without the fireworks next time.

I played here years ago and I was quite surprised by the conditions the tees were not in good condition some fairways were quite wet and the pace of play was very slow we had a single player two in front of us and he held up the whole course and wouldn’t let anyone play through but the greens were very good for a public course

Everything about the course was really good apart from the fact it was very wet

Only issue tees not clearly marked. New players can get lost. Tin of paint, would solve problem.

Great course but after the first two holes it becomes a nightmare until 13.

Not due to the course, but due to the twenty or so lowlife pricks that jump on at the 4th, 6th,7th, 8th or 9th.

First 6 holes took nearly 2 hours.

After the 13th the free riders like to jump off.

Other than that course is well kept, except for litter.

Understand given the location of the course but one guy in a caged room is not going to be able to stop this.

FYI no drinks or food available at the course.

Played here a few times now and its in great condition. Staff are always spot on and show true care for maintaining the place. Had a great round and will be back again.

1st time playing here , course in fabulous condition fairways running forever because of the weather 🌞🌞greens fast and in brilliant condition would definitely play again

Good condition for a public course ... lot of people skip onto the course causing hold ups sometimes

The course is in great condition

But there a lot of people just jumping on and not paying.

This isn’t fair to the people who have paid

There should be checks all around the course for none payers.

A James Braid design, Littlehill is an absolute gem of a golf course situated in Balornock/Auchinairn, Glasgow.

An outstanding test, if you can play this course at or near par, you are a golfer of high ability.

With investment, Littlehill could be an outstanding course/venue. All it needs is the right people with vision, investment and focus on just how good Littlehill could be...

Well looked after, greens lovely and quick, a real credit to the greenkeepers.

For a council run course this place is excellent. It’s well maintained and the greens are fast and true. Highly recommend.
