Cracking day at Balmore. The welcome from the pro shop was excellent and genuine. For such a well maintained course the pace of play and groups booked was excellent. A guid few par 3's but none of them were easy in the breeze and the par 4's while reachable in standard were precise and greens well protected. Bunkers well placed but lovely soft sand. Greens in good condition but a bit of speed variance I think based on where they were and exposed to wind and sun. A few blind drives that need course experience but holes well mapped and sign posted. Great value given it was £17pp. Clubhouse open and looks over the 18th so a nice place to finish up and have a drink.
Really good value course, but the pro in the shop was not friendly at all… didn’t even say hello. This is quite a common thing with golf pros unfortunately, they need to learn some basic customer service skills
Really nice course , clean and in good condition. Will definitely go back for another go
Another enjoyable round
Second time playing this course superb condition of course pro shop was closed asked a member if it was ok to go on the person couldn’t have been more friendlier can’t wait for another round on this wonderful course
Great golf course good value friendly & welcoming
Good course various testing holes excellent par 3,s very welcoming club enjoyed our day.
What a great golf course the staff and members couldn’t be more friendlier excellent condition and a great layout
Really nice course to play and very scenic. It’s not as flat as it looks in the photos so be prepared for a few hills. But it’s a great course to play I would thoroughly recommend
Really enjoyed this course. A few cross over holes but that didn’t detract from it except for a few waits really were minor although I could see it slowing things up on a very busy day. Really friendly and helpful staff and good food at the end of the round. I’d thoroughly recommend this lovely course to anyone wanting a nice day out in the country. Nothing not to like about this. No par 5’s but a lot of long par 4’s so don’t let that put you off. If you’ve not heard of it or tried it....give it a go.
A Proper Golf Course
Second time playing this course and confirmed my first thoughts that it is a proper golf course. The course is beautifully laid out and relies on its classic design as a true test of golf rather than ‘tricks’ or signature holes. If you add the very friendly staff and excellent clubhouse food to the mix then you will enjoy a super day’s golf at a very reasonable price.
Great course really enjoy a round at this course and when you get it for under £20 on the app. Great
Great course, played many times now!
Great course, played many times now!
The course was in great condition for late spring, can see it will be perfect in summer.
Good to see the clubhouse open again!
1sr class course with a great practice area. Some cracking looking holes and also challenging. Only thing it lacks is a par 5.
Was a very nice course , good greens only thing was needed fairway matts which we didn’t know about before arriving so had to move balls from fairways to the light rough . Would play again this course
Not a bad course
Booked through the app but qhen i arriced rge pro shop was inside the clubhouse which needed a code to be accessed and the pro shop was closed. As such i missed my scheduled tee time as i qas umable to find anyone. Eventually asked a member who let me into clubhouse and spoke to the chef who said all tee times were booked and i would have to go out between groups. I therefore had no scorecard and had to ask a group of members if i could go out in front of them, thankfully they agreed. Course itself was fine, some rather small greens so there accuracy is essential. Would play again in the summer, only hole i wasnt keen on was a blind teeshot over a hill onto a shared fairway running horizontal to the hole you are playing which seems a little dangerous.
