The Liberton Golf Club offers rolling parkland golf in southeast Edinburgh, featuring tight fairways and smallish, well-guarded greens, making for a fun and challenging round for golfers of all levels.
A round of golf at the Liberton Golf Club kicks off on Little France, a par-4 431-yarder. The next four holes - Pentlands, The Avenue, Mickey's Burn and Drumselch - are all par 4s, ranging in yardage from 263 to 385. The final hole, appropriately called The Green, is another par 4 and measures 360 yards.
After a round at the Liberton Golf Club, sink some snooker balls in the lounge.

Great for shorter hitters
Many of the holes are less than 400 yards so you may not always need a driver off the tee. Some narrow fairways and dogleg layouts, requiring thought and accuracy rather than max distance. Overall course condition was very good on an autumnal day. Staff and members were friendly, so well worth a visit.
Such a Gem of a Course!!
Played here a handful of times now. Really decent course with friendly staff. I play with a high handicap and found it pretty easy to keep hold of my balls on this course as an added bonus! Cheers!
Liberton
Well presented course, holes not too long, suitable for mid- high handicaps. Good for a visiting party as two rounds in a day not beyond most. Add an extra half hour to Google maps as traffic to the location very slow.
Polwarth Open Round
Played here for the Polwarth Open. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and the group I played with. Front nine is slightly trickier than the back with many pins being hidden and protected well by bunkers and mounds making for a challenging approach. Generally the course is short with tight, sloped fairways requiring a precise tee shot on all par 4s. Highlight was the longer par 3 17th, Polwarth Tavern hole.
A good test in town
Narrow fairways with lots of trees to keep your drives honest, some blind shots and tricky elevation changes to challenge your course management, and a few testing greens make this a really good course in the centre of town. Highly recommend
Well kept course
Played for the first time in years
From the minute we met the guy in the shop we were made welcome
Everyone on the course was friendly
The course itself is in really good condition and is a nice wee test
Some lovely holes and the green are in immaculate condtion

Great Wee Course
Some challenging holes eg 1st. Otherwise lovely course which at this time like most courses in Scotland is suffering from the extreme rainfalls of last 6 months
Compact and well maintained course
The course had set up winter tees but still used the actual greens so this had little impact on our enjoyment of the game. We were asked to use a mat on the fairways. There were some holes where the green direction was not obvious so markers on the fairways would help visitors.
Unfortunately, on the day, we were caught behind a very slow fourball who did not let any following groups through. Does the club promote “ready golf”.
In summary, we had an enjoyable game of golf on a good course with fine facilities and very friendly, helpful staff.
