The Liberton Golf Club offers rolling parkland golf in southeast Edinburgh, featuring tight fairways and smallish, well-guarded greens, making for a fun and challenging round for golfers of all levels.

A round of golf at the Liberton Golf Club kicks off on Little France, a par-4 431-yarder. The next four holes - Pentlands, The Avenue, Mickey's Burn and Drumselch - are all par 4s, ranging in yardage from 263 to 385. The final hole, appropriately called The Green, is another par 4 and measures 360 yards.

After a round at the Liberton Golf Club, sink some snooker balls in the lounge.

Second time of playing and really enjoyed it. Minor gripe: the signposting between tees could be improved, there are no indications to the visitor as to where the next tee is and it is not always obvious. Some indication of the lie of the land would be helpful too: mid-fairway markers, markers for greens out of sight, etc. Otherwise full of interesting features but nothing too scary for the mid- to high-handicap golfer.

Liberton Golf Course Visit - August 10 2021

Visited Liberton GC today with two friends one of whom played the course for the first time. We were all in agreement that the course cannot be faulted in any way. The course is presented well, and the greens were in excellent condition. We all could not get over that the greens were all without a single blemish and the green keeping staff richly deserve praise for all their efforts. These were without doubt the best greens that we have played on this year. The course is in stunning condition and members must be proud of their course, and the Pro was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating.
