Pleasantly Surpised
We had a wonderful round on this little executive course. For very reasonable rates we could get the taste of this Open venue including practice facilities and restaurant. Don’t let the name of the current owner deter you. Landscape and people were great.
Flat and wide as a motorway
The Arran course is a short course of nine holes, par 3s and par 4s only. When I played It, there were few other players. The wind was low, ideal for a short round of golf.
Although fairways and greens were in perfect condition, playing the course didn't make much fun. The fairways were wide and flat. I was rather bored. As a continental European player I didn't feel like playing a Scottish course. It was like playing in a motorway.
Warm up 9
Great course to get you ready for main challenge of the 2 18 holes at trump . Greens very good same staff looking after them as the main courses. Nice food at club house with great veiws
Great challenging course
Played this on 12th January 2024 and for the time of year it was in good condition. Course is laid out well requiring you to use all shots in the bag.
Would highly recommend and can only imagine what it would be like on a warmer and sunnier day.

Ive played all 3 courses at Turnberry now post refurb.
Ive got to say i think a splendid job has been done here.
I was browsing through my trusty Golf Now app and spotted a wee bargain advertised called “The wee Arran” .
The hot deal was £18.99 for Monday at 12pm. (9 holes)
Took full advantage and really enjoyed it a warm welcome from Peter and Paul the starters.
All the quality of the big courses at a fraction of the price, a real taste of Turnberry.
Great value and a great way to spend 2 hours.

Right from arriving staff very attentive golf buggies clean with added parts for club & ball cleaniing. Course grass was cut greens lovely the putting greens & chipping greens lovely will go back in future.
