Belleisle Park - Seafield

About
Seafield Golf Club is an 18-hole cliff-top parkland golf course built to take advantage of the natural surroundings. The golf course was designed by Peter McEvoy and opened in 2003.
Seafield's mature woodlands and water hazards of the front nine are in stark contrast to the long fairways, crosswinds and bunkers through the back nine down toward the sea and the stunning cliff-top tees on the 11th and 17th holes. The 425-yard 18th brings play back to the panoramic views from the Seafield clubhouse.

Seafield course, Ayr
A great course managed by South Ayrshire council. The course has a good variety of holes of varying difficulty and length. Greens and fairways are kept in good condition. A great course to play .
Great municipal course and good value for money
Great little course with a few quirky holes and in really good condition for a municipal. Under 3hrs to get round which was a bonus 👍
Great Value
Great value. We where encouraged to try the White Tees which made the holes really challenging, with lots of shot shaping required. The overall layout is excellent. A mix of parkland and links style. Bunkers decent amount of sand and greens quite fast and true.
Closed bins for litter and broken tees would stop the birds emptying them and so leaving quite a lot of rubbish to blow around the course.
Decent course at the value end of the market
Very generous par ratings on some holes. Greens were in poor condition. However, there are some interesting holes.
Very nice course few tuff holes
I enjoyed my round played in a 4 ball very nice people friendly staff .Course was in great condition will play here again
Value for money
Fantastic value for money, for mid November this course was in great condition. Some greens did have some patches but overall we were very pleased. No doubt will return.
A Wee Gem of a Course
Really enjoyed this course. A tad muddy as to be expected at this time of year. Staff & members were really helpful. A few nice short par 4s that were challenging enough. You could do some real damage here hitting if you’re driving well. Some nice par 3s also. Great fun. Will definitely be back. Also great value at the price we got it. Certainly worth a look if you want something different from your local course. Only thing missing was some signage as nothing to say it sits in Belleisle Park next to the main course. A minor observation.
Great day of golf👍
Beautiful autumn day and the course was in great condition. Also met Dougie and David and played the round with them.
My golf was decent also😀. Brilliant way to spend a few hours👍
Great course for my 12 year old
Perfect course for my 12 year old to get his first pat on a par 4!
Not exciting!
Not a bad course but a bit boring in places & not a course I would want to play again.
Also, seemed a bit expensive for what it was but that may be just me getting used to 2024 inflation!
Fantastic value for money - a James Braid course!
Love this course. It is in exceptional condition for a municipal course. Pace of play was great and the layout is lovely. Not too hilly, which is easily manageable for even a semi fit person. Thoroughly enjoyable with two good cafes beside the course.
Best value for money in the country
Lovely course, which is well kept and had a good variety of holes, without any of them being impossibly difficult (17 is a test!). I particularly like that you don’t see much of civilisation when you’re on the course and there’s a peek of the sea from the 6th green.
It is without doubt a little gem.
up for the open
excellent course
Good value

we were mid 20 handicappers might not suit lie handicappers
overall GREAT
Nice game in Ayr
Played on 14th July, nice day out. The weather was kind, always nice to play in shorts in Scotland.
The course was in good condition, greens were in great condition, although they were quite firm and fast. Course layout was decent, always handy to get a map of the course on the back of the card. Fairways were generous but rough was thick in places. Food in clubhouse was good and reasonably priced. The only problem I had was a fourball of three elderly men and one woman, they could only hit it about 100 yards, and despite being 3 clear holes behind the group in front of them, and myself as single player, they obviously were never going to let me play through, despite still being on the tee when I walked up to play the hole. Such a shame that they had no etiquette, if they didn’t speak to me or acknowledge me, then they didn’t have to let me play through. I was waiting for them to get off the green at par 4’s which were drivable for me, but the sentiment was never returned, quite pathetic really. But it was a lovely day, course was good, just walked slowly and enjoyed the course…..
IT IS A COUNCIL COURSE!
On holiday at craig tara holiday park i brought my clubs and thought I would just use golf now app to book instead of pre booking rounds.
Seafield Course
This came up for £30 well all I can say is what a stunning well kept tight course, great as a warm up course if you plan on playing the other courses on this complex .
I cannot believe how good this place is seriously Ayr council it is a credit, better than most private and expensive courses I have played, more welcoming and let through almost immediately.
Clubhouse nice.
Pro shop well stocked.
