Drumpellier Golf Club

About
Located just east of Glasgow, Drumpellier Golf Club sits at the west end of Coatbridge. Since opening in 1894, it has become one of the area's most treasured courses. The layout is challenging but it's still player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course's has a memorable finish, ending on two of its best holes. The par-4 17th is just 270 yards, giving big hitters the opportunity for a grand finish by reaching the green from the tee. Those who don't want to take the risk can play it safe and aim for the fairway. Drumpellier Golf Club's final hole, another par 4, tumbles downhill across slopes ranging from subtle to dramatic. Be careful of running out of the fairway or you'll face an even tougher approach to the well bunkered green.

Excellent course. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish
Great
On arrival staff were friendly and helpful. The course was in excellent condition although a little busy pace of play was reasonable. There were numerous interesting and challenging holes for all levels of golfer. After golf a trip to a family friendly bar for food and drinks is highly recommended. Very enjoyable day of golf.
Friendly Welcome
First time playing the course I have moved into the area and trying out a few courses to see where I may end up joining. The guys in the shop are extremely welcoming for a first time visit. The course was in good condition, some of greens had some work done on them, but didn’t effect the way they would roll but otherwise the greens are excellent surface and could be tricky if they got them quicker. The layout of the golf course is very nice and a great variation of holes all the way round. The price you pay as a guest here is well worth it and would recommend a visit to anyone in the area looking for a change of venue.
Excellent condition and well worth the £30 paid

Hidden Gem
⛳ HIDDEN GEM ALERT: DRUMPELLIER GOLF CLUB 🏌️♀️🏌️♂️
Today we discovered why Drumpellier consistently ranks as one of Lanarkshire’s top courses - and snagged an incredible deal doing it! £26 each through GolfNow for this beautiful parkland course was an absolute STEAL.
THE MYSTERY REVEALED:
Despite living nearby, we’d never quite figured out where this course was hiding! Turns out it’s tucked away in some of North Lanarkshire’s most stunning parkland - a true hidden gem that’s been under our noses all this time.
THE WELCOME:
From the moment we arrived, the pro shop staff greeted us warmly, setting the tone for our day. Members both on and off the course were incredibly friendly - always a good sign of a club with great culture.
THE COURSE:
Don’t be fooled by those long, broad, open fairways - Drumpellier is definitely a wolf in sheep’s clothing! While it appears straightforward, this course demands strategic thinking and proper positioning.
The challenging par 3s require precision to reach and hold the greens, while a few blind par 4s and dogleg holes add complexity to your decision-making. It’s absolutely scoreable, but not on your first attempt!
THE CONDITION:
Even this early in the season, the course was IMMACULATE:
• Tees in brilliant condition
• Fairways superb
• Greens excellent - running true and beautifully maintained
We even chatted with some greenkeeping staff on the course - friendly folks who clearly take enormous pride in their work.
THE VERDICT:
An exceptional course that definitely deserves its high local ratings. We’ll absolutely be returning to build on what we learned today and improve our scoring next time.

Nice Golf Course, with good amenities
And value for money
Drum
Still no mats needed and all normal greens which is pretty good for time of year. The course itself was decent and would definitely play again in the summer months.
Cracking Course
First time I’ve played and enjoyed my round.
Greens were very sandy but good condition. The sand did make the speed vary on green to green.
Fairways were really good.
Upgrades being done to the clubhouse which made the first tee box noisy at times
