Drumpellier Golf Club

About
Located just east of Glasgow, Drumpellier Golf Club sits at the west end of Coatbridge. Since opening in 1894, it has become one of the area's most treasured courses. The layout is challenging but it's still player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course's has a memorable finish, ending on two of its best holes. The par-4 17th is just 270 yards, giving big hitters the opportunity for a grand finish by reaching the green from the tee. Those who don't want to take the risk can play it safe and aim for the fairway. Drumpellier Golf Club's final hole, another par 4, tumbles downhill across slopes ranging from subtle to dramatic. Be careful of running out of the fairway or you'll face an even tougher approach to the well bunkered green.

Excellent course!
Played this course for the first time a couple of weeks back. The fairways were in great condition and the greens were perfect. Would highly recommend people to play here. If I had more time on my hands this would be the course to become a member!
Nice Course!
Was a lovely course and great day out, the assistant in pro shop was polite and friendly!
The course was in great condition, with the greens running fast and true!
Nice good length course.
Some long challenging par 4s and some really good par 3s. Good course all in all. Some of the greens slightly on the soft side would be the only complaint.
Suited me to a tee
Really enjoyed the course and highly recommend. Fairways in top condition and greens ran well though a bit bare in some places but ball still ran true. My bad fortune to be out immediately behind a seniors event which, as I was playing alone, meant it was a lot slower than I'd have liked. Nobody's fault (well the oldies did have chances to allow me thru but didn't) and still doesn't colour my view of the course. Considered applying to join but website says waiting list. Aww.
Conditions
The course was not bad however this is related to the
Fact that there was 6/7 winter greens and on Atleast half the greens looked fantastic, £30 was on the high side for what we got I feel as the previous week we payed king George in Perth for £35 full greens
Day out
First time on the course very nice course fairways were superb considering how much rain there had been greens were also good some a bit soft but still run tru overall excellent course all round now for the negative part we were stuck behind a member and 3 visitors so took our 3 ball all visitors 4 1/2 hrs very disappointing that the member would not let us through so for 16 holes we had to wait on every shot the n got to the 14th we’re the juniors had now caught us up and there was now 3 groups standing on the 14th waiting to tee off got to the 16th and that’s when 2groups walked off the course due to slow play very disappointing on a very nice course
Very nice
I was really impressed with the course condition and the layout. Despite there being a fair few blind shots it really didn't spoil my enjoyment.
There's a very good variety of holes and well mixed up.
The course is fairly open off the tee but around the greens and the greens themselves are tough.
Quality of coarse
I loved playing the coarse . Condition of coarse was great . Layout of each hole was terrific to play . Whether hole was playing on a down slope from elevated tee position or playing up to elevated greens . Was great to play dogleg holes that required both a fade and draw shots from tee . I thought the par 3s were also great to play I liked the yardage and the mix from the tee . Overall was really impressed and would definitely play the coarse again
Geordies
Played this course a few times now … brilliant course … very friendly with being visitors to the course … some challenging holes even for the experienced golfer … great conditions
Recommended.
Friendly pro. Course in great condition and not too difficult. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn't use the clubhouse facilities but would imagine they were good.
Geordie tour
As a visitor to this course we were made to feel very welcome and this is why we have visited a few times with us working in Glasgow
I find all of the holes different and challenging for a mid handicapped player and condition of course is perfect …
Would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to play in the area
Still Great
Haven't played Drumpellier in a few years. Not disappointed at all. Course is fantastic. Absolutely brilliant and only 10 minutes from the house.
