Drumpellier Golf Club

About
Located just east of Glasgow, Drumpellier Golf Club sits at the west end of Coatbridge. Since opening in 1894, it has become one of the area's most treasured courses. The layout is challenging but it's still player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course's has a memorable finish, ending on two of its best holes. The par-4 17th is just 270 yards, giving big hitters the opportunity for a grand finish by reaching the green from the tee. Those who don't want to take the risk can play it safe and aim for the fairway. Drumpellier Golf Club's final hole, another par 4, tumbles downhill across slopes ranging from subtle to dramatic. Be careful of running out of the fairway or you'll face an even tougher approach to the well bunkered green.

Winter Greens
Disappointed to pay full rate for all 18 greens to be winter greens. Course is great but it’s not right to charge full rates for winter greens.
Decent Course
The course has always held a reputation for me as being one of the more exclusive clubs in the area. As such I came with high expectations which were probably a bit unrealistic.
Overall its an okay layout with one or two really nice holes. The approach into 15 was probably the highlight with interesting bunkers and a drop in elevation into the green.
Condition wise I came in late October after weeks of cold and rain. Hats off to the greenkeeping team for having all greens and most tees in play. Play on the day was difficult though with a lot of bumps and tyre tracks on the greens.
Well worth the £19 deal I got for our round but not a course I would rush back to.
Great golf course
My friend and I enjoyed a sunny Friday afternoon playing Drumpellier. An excellent and challenging golf course. I must have used every club in the bag. Haven’t played here for 25 years but really enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be back.
Drumpellier
This is an exceptional course, never tire of playing it. Give it a go you'll enjoy it. The greens are superb.
A course for all
Enjoyed our round course in great condition lot of nice holes really good par 3s greens fast club house nice staff friendly made to feel welcome by staff and members
Good course
Had an enjoyable round of golf, friendly pro shop and ground staff, with tee off times set every 7 minutes if you’re behind a 4 ball and a slow 2 ball there is no chance of playing through so everyone gets backed up and it makes what should be a 3 hour round into a 4 hour round, which makes the £30 fee about £10 too much.
Great course only 30 minutes from Glasgow centre
I paid £27 to play Drumpellier on a Thursday at peak time. I found the course to be in good condition and the pace of play was excellent. A couple of the tees were not clearly marked leaving us a little unsure of where to go when leaving the green.
The hole layout was clear from the tee diagrams and the greens were smooth and true with very little to no wear.
This is a challenging course with a couple of par 4s having traps around the 200 yard distance giving the average golfer like me food for thought.
Loads of well established tree coppices and nice long rough to punish a wayward drive but plenty of room on the fairways if just a little off centre. A few bunkers need a little more sand however this is only a couple of minor criticisms of what is a lovely course and well worth a visit. Great value for money.
Great golf course, you must carefully plot your way, some very tricky doglegs
Our 4 ball had a very enjoyable day at Drumpellier golf course, all staff were very approachable, we had a chat with some of the green staff, great lads,
Makes the day. Highly recommend
Pristine Condition
Lovely course in great condition, with the greens a good pace and a true roll. Some subtle dog-legs requiring shaping both ways, decent length but generous lines available off the tee. You shouldn't be wasting time looking for your tee shots. Par 5s are birdie opportunities but with astute bunkering making for risk or reward approaches.
Great course
Lovely course, fairways and greens in very good condition, staff really friendly,I was running late and and staff gave me another time with no hassle, would happily recommend and join this course.

Drumpellier GC
Good challenging course but dry, like most courses. The Pro was very helpful and welcoming, the bar staff equally so.
