Week day round

Considering the time of year the course played well and not too heavy underfoot - all the green were on okay except for the 12th hole

Great Parkland Winter Conditions

Played in winter, some tees off winter mats, other winter tees off grass but obviously closer. For a mild mid winter day I thought the course was in excellent condition, greens were a bit soggy on occasion with the odd winter green in play but overall pretty good. A course I’d definitely come back to when the weather is better. Lots of wide fairways with a few narrow par 3’s, not the most challenging course I’ve played but a great course nonetheless. It’s a little hilly so be prepared for that, nothing ridiculous but definitely not a flat course.

Staff were friendly too.

Slow Players

PLEASE REMIND players to let others play thru. Gets too bunched up too often or ask staff to monitor the tee offs, far too many times Ive barely made it to the green and the next group are tee-ing off. Or the group infront wont halt and let faster players or even solo players play thru. My only gripe but really kills your game, mood and experience. But all in all abso love this course played it many times now, bravo staff and grouds ppl 👍🏻 always great condition, especially for the price...seen "better" and more expensive courses with less care and upkeep

Rouken Glen 18 holes

Course was in poor condition, was like playing in winter but this was end Aug. Lots of marsh areas and tees were extremely poor.

Greens were fine.

Lots of rubbish littered around the course too.

Rouken Glen Golf Course

For a course that is associated with David Lloyd I was disappointed with the overall condition of the golf course.

The tee boxes were in a very poor state with very little grass on any of them.

The greens were very hit or miss very slow, bobbly, full of unrepaired pitch marks and people just generally abusing them with a few with divots taken out of them.

No signs to way find and navigate you’re way round course you can potentially play a wrong hole without knowing or asking fellow golfers what is the next hole.

However that said there is cracking views of Glasgow and a few lovely holes, you do need to be fairly fit though with the front 9 in particular very hilly.

For me just a typical municipal golf course with work needing done on it to get to the standards you would associate with David Lloyd.

Not great…

Tee boxes and greens need some attention and pace of play was the slowest I’ve ever came across to be honest. 2 groups at a time waiting at tee boxes to tee off. Fairways full of divots with no attention made to try and sort them. I’d avoid to be honest, better courses out there for the money.
