Caldwell Golf Club

While working away in Scotland I always meet up with some friends and go for a round. Caldwell was suggested as my friend drives past the course regularly for work.

Staff very friendly, although it would have helped us if it had been pointed out that some greens were out of use and the course layout was different to the map on the scorecard. Obviously this will be due to the recent weather conditions as some places were cordoned off for being boggy.

Although a lovely course that is set out really well. Lots of holes to get the driver out. Need to come back in summer for a round.

Had never heard of Caldwell GC before but decided to give it a go. Was really impressed with it. The first three holes are tough with OB down the left side then it gets a bit easier. Greens were in great condition and there is good variety of holes. Will definitely visit again.

The course was generally in very good condition as usual . However annoying that we picked the wrong day as the greens were covered in sand.

Fantastic course, friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our round. Course is in excellent condition for April. Can't recommend enough.

Great course well looked after and greens really fast, I was not expecting them to be so good.

My round was spoiled a bit by an older group infront who didn't offer to let me play through. I was playing alone. It was at the point where I was standing beside the tee as they were teeing off. After about 10 holes one of them said to me no point in me playing through as there was 2 more groups infront of them. I had caught up with them by hole 3 and if I had played through them and the groups infront I would saved about an hour and a half. Also had a couple of rude members walking across the 17th fairway as I was teeing off, I did not wave them over and they did not wait for me to hit. No golf etiquette at all.

Great course and I will play again soon but will maybe phone in first to check how many 4 balls are in front.

Took full advantage of a break in the weather and not too foggy a head after Christmas. First time at this hidden jewel . Course was in great order considering the previous deluge,well drained playable surface (still on mats for fairways or side if not.) All winter greens was my only complaint, would love to play in summer . However some crackin holes to enjoy not too strenuous a walk.

Some tricky greens and tight tees, so a good challenge for a mid-handicapper

Fantastic course, excellent condition, friendly staff, great value. Enjoyed everything about our first trip to Caldwell. Will definitely play course again. Highly recommended.

Great course and always in good condition but pace of play very very slow. Had to wait on every shot and took me nearly 4 hours to finish (single player)

Lovely day out at caldwell course very well maintained plenty room on fairways greens fast nice water feature at 18 will play again. 😎👍

Everything about this course was great.

Warmly welcomed by the members and staff, a member offered to buy coffee as I had no change

Clubhouse is older traditional style but still very pleasant

The course was very good and the greens lightning fast.

Overall a great experience for the price, we will go back
